I don't want to give a big tin of chocs as I'm sure they get loads!

I was thinking a small gift bag with a homemade and painted by Freya tree decoration inside with a few homemade chocs.

I was thinking of something else too. Maybe a mini Xmas candle or wooden guardian angel.

What are you getting for your teachers?

If you're a teacher what would you like most?

Thanks! :)

Ahh, I never thought of homemade things.

Last year, LO 'gave' her room a yard of Jaffa Cakes and her key worker a gingerbread man mug with a gingerbread man inside from Boots. :flower:

Ive worked in several nurseries, just wanted to point out its normal for anything unnamed or for a rOom to go in a lucky dip for everyone, we only kept things individually named.. So if your gift is for a particular key worker(s) make sure you name it! We got tins and tins of chocs, it would have been lovely to receive something handmade or something a bit more personal, it's the thought that counts :)

I would get them something personalised to "teacher" i think they will appreciate that so much more than a generic box of chocs x

last year i was a bit lazy with being pregnant nipped to greggs and got a tray of cup cakes for them 4 for £2 is the usual price and you can get a mix.

My daughters nursery workers are getting a tin of chocs lol! Yes they will get loads but the thought is there - plus my daughter has 2 key workers and we can't afford to do something for both xx

Well it's actually for all the girls that work in her room. They all rotate apart from her key worker so there's a few, about 8.

This is the reason I've done home made stuff.

I've got a lovely mini gift bag, made some Christmas tree decs from a plaster mould, Freya has painted them, I've also made some Christmas chocolate and wrapped them in little cellophane bags with a bow.

If I also do a shortbread biscuit which Freya can decorate do you think that would be ok?

They will all be labelled

I would buy something personalised for his teacher I think thats rather sweet and showa youv put more thought into it x

I'm going to do snowman soup and the homemade Millie's cookies!! Am I a cheapskate? Lol

I don't know what we'll send this year, but hardly any of the parents at Tegan's school send gifts. Last year we sent a tin of celebrations someone gave us because we generally don't eat chocolate

Thanks everyone.

I'm struggling to find personalised gifts for all 8 that aren't too expensive in total :(

I was hoping the Xmas tree decoration and home made chocs would be personal enough?

Would buying a personal item show I'd put more thought into it than making our own decoration, painting it, making chocolates, wrapping them and putting it all in a handmade gift bag?

I was sure handcrafted things would be more personal :/

Not sure what I could buy for all of them that won't cost too much :(

You could do little dollar stockings with each of their names on it and put the chocolates in there to personalize it for each girl.

I would use home made stuff. Much more personal than anything you could buy :)

Would it be weird to give his key worker a bottle of wine? Someone gave us a wine set and we are not really big drinkers. Or should I stick to chocs?

Thanks everyone.

I think that's personal enough. It's the thought that counts :hugs:
