I know it's early days yet but just wanted to know what everyone is thinking of packing in their bags to take to hospital when in labour or what you have packed in the past if you are already a mummy! I'm a first timer and don't have a clue!

Lots of pairs of large pants ( I took disposable ones first time and they were awful so second time I brought some big cheap ones from tescos) Maternity pads (a couple of packs) whatever you plan to wear to give birth in (I took 2 breast feeding nighties) a bottle of water, I didnt feel like eating either time but some snacks to keep your energy up (Raisins, cereal bars) Towells (take a couple, first time round I only took one and it got covered in blood so second time I took 2, an old one that I was happy to throw away after that first messy shower and a second one to use after that) Toiletries, hairbrush etc. Newborn nappies, a couple of babygrows and sleepsuits, an outfit / snowsuit for the baby to wear home, blanket for the baby, a change of clothes for yourself to wear home

The things I packed you would of thought I was moving in..

The things I defo recommend are
- maternity pads
- pyjamas
- big dark underwear
- socks
- dressing gown
- maternity bra
- slippers
- your own pillow
- hair bobbles and brush
- breast pads
- shampoo and conditioner
- shower gel
- dark towel
- comfy clothes to go home in
- make up and make up wipes

- 3x baby grows
- 3x baby vests
- mittens
- hat
- blanket
- bibs/muslin squares
- 1 pack of nappies
- cotton wool
- nappy bags

That's all I can think of right now lol ooo and car seat :)
