My daughter is barely two but she asks my mom mainly and sometimes me when we are out, 'wheres daddy?' or 'Daddy home now?'
I have no idea what to tell her, its heart breaking to see her face drop when i say hes not home :cry:

River doesnt ask much but on the rare occasion she does i just sat daddy is at work.

I'm absolutely dreading this :cry:

Massive hugs :hugs::hugs: xx

I tell them the truth. Daddy doesnt live here and you will see him on... whatever the next day he is to have them.

Sometimes they will be playing and Jaycee will say to Chloe something about you me mummy and daddy and Chloe will say no me you mummy and twix (the dog)

I think its always best to tell the truth, the girls dont ask much anymore cos I suppose its been 13 weeks so at first it was different but we never lived together anyway, the girls always woke up to daddy not being here.

My son's never met his 'dad' (not my decision) so I know one day he'll find out that he just didn't want to know :nope: xx

This crosses my mind daily... :hugs:

Im not a single parent as i live with my fiance but my daughter who is 2 isnt his, she sees her dad every weekend and always asks for him during the week! I usually say he is at work, as thats the truth, but other times i just say "daddy will be here on saturday to see you"
She is usually happy with that.

He doesn't see Bella and problem never will unless he sets it up threw a contact centre. He's not a nice man.
It's just so upsetting, she sat here just and said 'daddy's not coming?'
God knows what's made her so curious about her father.

My LO doesnt speak properly yet but when the time comes and he asks where he is, i think i will tell him daddy is away working and doesnt live with mummy, but you will see him soon and do nice things and go to fun places when hes home. x

Im guessing she has seen him. Has she started seeing other children and their daddy's maybe that could be it?
Im not sure to be honest. Sometimes when they ask for their dad it hurts because I cant give them what they are asking for but one day they will understand.

I used to say 'daddy is at work' however I now tell her mummy and daddy dont live together anymore and daddy will come and see you.....on whatever day.
