I am currently looking to get our cot mattress and wondered what everyone else has gone for and recommends?
Where is best to buy online too?
So much choice its hard to know!

I got a sprung one on Amazon for £40. I heard sprung mattresses are better than foam ones x

As above we got a sprung one on ebay for 38 quid an it was delivered next day x

Sprung mattress with waterproof layer and washable top cover - babies r us currently have it on sale for £80 down from £160. It just arrived today and looks lovely (would never have paid £160 for a mattress but £80 is reasonable enough for a cot bed mattress which will need to last a few years)

We got this one: https://www.preciouslittleone.com/p...oast-spring-interior-cot-mattress-120-x-60cm/

My sister had it and said it looked good. We also got our moses basket mattress at the same time, as they're MUCH cheaper than anywhere else we thought.

We went for East Coast as the second hand cot we got is East Coast so thought it made sense to get same make.

I got a similar one from the Pram Center in Glasgow. Has a removable cover & a one side is completely waterproof so the mattress can be turned over for potty training.

If you're getting a cot bed def get a pocket sprung mattress, they feel comfy & last the longest.

Pocket sprung M&P, think it was on offer for £80 original was £100+

we have a mamas and papas cot, and the size mattress it reccommends (from them) is 1cm smaller each way than ones on ebay, has anyone bought a non m&p one and got it to fit??

I bought the same mattress for my daughter who is now one year old and her nappy leaked for the first time last week during the night and there was a big wet patch on the mattress. It was SO nice to be able to just rip off the top layer and chuck it in the washing machine - a real godsend! And the mattress is still fresh and as good as new - definitely worth the money!

I got a fantastic one at Amazon.com

https://www.amazon.com/Baby-Coconut...YG/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1316642247&sr=8-20

It's organic and chemical free... it's harder on one side for baby, and softer on the other for toddler years... it's thicker and lots nicer than any of the "cheapy" ones I've seen. I did have to purchase a waterproof organic mattress cover for it as well... as the mattress is nicer, so it's not covered in plastic.

Best of luck!!!

I also got an organic chemical free one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/40022000...NX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_958wt_1139
