What week did you have your amnio?

I'm getting nervous...
What week did you have your amnio? And...is it really all that bad? I'm still seeing my fertility specialist and she said that she will refer me back to my obgyn at 10 weeks. I will have an ultrasound every monday, until she releases me.

We opted for no amnio, but I think they are scheduled between 16-18 weeks....someone jump in and correct me if I'm wrong....too lazy to google at the moment.

My doctor has never suggested one, nor have I requested one... is it odd for your doctor to not suggest it?

My doc only suggests it after 35. I am 38 and I do want one. I just want to be prepared for anything.
