housing bennefit ~ 412 a month my rent is 550

Council tax they would pay it all

Childtax credits
income support

any idea of figuires ? when he goes i want it planned so i can afford to live ...even if it takes months while i get a evening job or somthing ...I dont wanna just scream get out go and then be left with the shit to pick up

Hi hun

Housing benefit has changed to local housing allowance so you might get more. As for tax credits etc go on entitled to and that will work out how much you should get.
Im new to all this aswell after oh left me its hard but you will be fine xx

When my ex left and before my now husband and me got back together i was left single and with 4 kids. To be honest i was alot better off because i got all my rent fully paid, council tax fully paid. Got income support for myself and about £184 child tax credit for the kids plus the kids were intitled to claim free school dinners. Hope this helps :hugs: xxx

He will be going its just a matter of when ... I am gunna see if i am better off working 16hrs or not first and get a bit of money saved as this house is in his name ect ...aimin for in about 6 months time ive put up with his shit for 2yrs now so whats 6months if it means we will be stable the minute i get rid ...the only reason i may change my mind is if he changes dramiticly which i doubt

Yeah I have ...didnt realise it tells u income support too x

dont forget child benefit aswell,

She should already be claiming that, it wont be effected if u are single or not stays the same amount :flower:

yep i get that and no point claiming lone parent part as they take it off your income support ...hoping to get a job beffore i get rid ...though not sure i could really put up with much more ...i just want whats best for my kids ..being made to feel worthless and like qa crap mum isnt good for them

Does anyone know how long you have to live in UK to get "all" of these benefits?
Also does the person need a UK passport or is EU passport OK?

Just curious xxx

Serina, you said about seeing if you're better off working 16hrs..if you go to the jobcentre and ask them to do a better-off statement, they compare what you're recieving now to what you would get working and show you the difference. I'd be something like 100 a week better off if i was working, but im not ready to leave Kyla yet x
