Has anyone changed their diet while TTCing? I'm trying to eat healthier but some times it is just sooo difficult.

well...i definitely started eating more the past 2 months...but then again it was the holidays and i had 2 turkeys in 2 months to chow down on . i think i gained a little weight from it all so i need to cut down a bit. I did buy some extra apples and oranges and going to try and make it a habit of eating those as snacks rather than cookies from my obsessive cookie baking!

oh, and i am trying to cut back on soda. Maybe buy jugs of fruit juice instead of coke bottles. mmmmmm coke /drool.

I haven't to be honest up to now but could do with losing a bit of weight so i'm gonna try from now on eating more healthy - no point depriving yourself too much we all need a treat in the word of ttc!!!

I've been naughty because it's Christmas but as I'm veggie I think I have a fairly decent diet most of the time.

I've eaten more clementine oranges and fresh pineapple as I heard that was good for implantation!

It's more been about what I'm NOT having! Lots less alcohol esp considering the time of year and no blue cheese - the cheese is hard as it's my fav thing!

The diet starts (again!) on monday when I go back to work....

I've been kicking the Pepsi habit, and been trying to eat better. Going to look into a few "diets" that are supposed to help with depression and hope that allows me to lose some weight...lost a few pounds since I last weighed myself (ok, that was over a month ago but considering Christmas was in there, I'm pretty pleased!). Just trying to generally be healthier. Also started working out again.

Not that much... I have reduced the intake of COKE! :D
I have joined a gym recently bec I need to lose weight that I gained from my miscarriage depression  I just need to watch out what I eat.. I am still... eating a bit.. unhealthy :shy:

I am definetly in for losing some weight!!
We can do it girl!!

Ive more changed my diet over the new year rather than because of TTC which is a little bad i know .... im eating lots more fish, i dont drink a lot of fizzy drinks anyway but only diet if i do. Fruit & veg im trying to do at least 2 or 3 a day, 5 a day is unreachable atm for me, less carbs, but i love them sooooooo much!!

Ive not really done anything with my diet, ive had alot of weight fall off by itself.
There are changes i could make but i know i wont stick to it so im only going to concentrate on one thing, thats drink more water.
By drinking more water itll help my skin, my bodys general wellbeing and ttc wise it helps increase CM

why,oh why did my other half have to open a packet of biscuits?there seems to be none left ..

I never knew clementine oranges and pineapple were good for implantation! Where did you read that?

i havent really changed anything i drink alot of water all the time i find it hard to eat veg coz my dh is very fussy and dont eat them same with fish but sometimes as a treat i will have some salmon i dont like oranges so thats a no no lol

Cutting out caffeine is highly recommended - both for pregnant ladies and those ttc. Apparantely caffeine can lower fertility rates (according to some studies). Now, I am not sure how accurate those studies are, but it can't hurt to cut out caffeine and can do a lot of good healthwise. So I am drinking decaff at the moment.

i dont think i could cut out caffeine completely, being in the motor trade all u do is drink tea and coffee all flippin day, im down to about 3 cups of tea a day and ive switched to brown sugar instead of white, better for u and u can use less because its nice and sweet

does decaf taste the same as normal?

Hi CherryBlossom!

I think decaf coffee tastes the same as normal coffee (only problem is that if you like filter coffee, you will get much less choice with decaf). Starbucks and Costa both do really good decaf for when you are out with friends for coffee.

As for tea (I am a real tea wife), I think decaf normal tea is horrible - but I drink Decaf Earl Grey which tastes really like normal Earl Grey.

You can also get Redbush tea (roebus) which is from South Africa and available from most tea brands like Tetley. It tastes like a smokey tea and is quite nice. It has no caffeine in it and is also an anti-toxidant.
