Cornish hens.. not sure what the vegetables on the menu are just yet.. of course mashed potatoes, but the rest is a mystery. Better be good because I'm not very excited about eating something that looks like a baby chicken/turkey OR a pigeon.. lol.

we have turkey with all the fixings!!

however with the way I am feeling this year I think I will be eating soda crackers and drinking gingerale!!

Hubby is the world's pickiest eater so he's making his homemade lentil soup. He's having it himself, though. I'm making a small turkey breast, gravy, roasted potatos, carrots and homemade bread for me. :) I got a chocolate trifle for dessert but am a bit off Chocolate at the moment. I might make something fruity (apple crumble maybe) as another dessert choice. I'm also going to pick up some chipoltes at ASDA today.

I have no idea whats on the menu as we are opening gifts and having breakfast at the inlaws, then go to OH's gramma's to open more gifts and do dinner there THEN go to OH's aunts place for another late dinner and lots of finger foods! Thank goodness for elastic waste maternity pants LOL

We are having Turkey, yorkshire puds, turnip, cabbage, peas, carrots, pigs in blankets, some yummy marks and spencers pork and leek stuffing (cheating lol) loads gravy and cheesecake for dessert mmmm x

well it was decided at the last minute that i'm cooking dinner for the family (as in decided yesterday) so i'm doing turkey, beef, pigs in blankets, stuffing, carrots, sprouts, beans, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, roasted parsnips, roasted potatoes and yorkshires

i can't wait! my sis asked me if i'm well enough to cook for everyone and i explained i'm alright in morning and daytime so we're having dinner at lunchtime else there's no way i could eat a thing in evening with all the MS!

am spending today preparing and cooking quite a lot of it...

Oh crap ive forgot Pigs in Blankets:dohh::dohh::dohh:

But apart from that i am prepared.

Turkey wiv everythin which is both spuds, broccoli, parsnips, sprouts, carrots, peas, stuffing and cranberry sauce. And a few yorkies thrown in 4 good measure.

Do u have mash or roast or both???

V x x x

We've having a feast - I'm cooking for 15 people! There will be chicken, lamb, roast potatoes, runner beans, swede & carrott mash, sprouts, pigs in blankets, stuffing, Yorkshire puddings and gravy with cranberry or mint sauce. I'm actually really looking forward to doing the cooking!

Im not the one cooking but i know its a mixed choice, afew slices of turkey, ham, beef or goose or abit of all of it haha. We have loads of different meants to suit everyone who will be at my mams. If everything goes to plan there should be 18 of us this year so lots of leftovers for me to stuff myself with
But i end up filling myself up on starters which is a prawn cocktail for me, so i hardly eat any of the actual dinner :dohh:

I'm cooking xmas dinner for more than two for the first time this year!! No starter - that's just too much stress!

Turkey, roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, cabbage, sprouts, peas, butternut squash, Yorkshire puddings, pigs in blankets (I cheated and bought ready rolled ones!), stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce.

We have a chocolate cake and my dad has made xmas pud for desert, hubby is making the brandy butter. We also have mince pies, cheese and crackers and Twilights!

Soooooooooooooo much food!

Chicken :D (hate turkey), Yorkshire Puds, Roast tatties, Mash, Carrots, Peas, Brocolli, Caulliflower, Sprouts, Stuffing and Pigs in blankets...

No starter, but homemade trifle for pud (usually about 2 hours later coz I'm too stuffed from all the food!)

:saywhat:

How can people who like chicken not like turkey????? It's basically the same but a bit more flavour

We are having:

Prawn coctail - Cant beat a good old 1960's starter!!!

Roast Chicken
Roast Pork
Roast Tatties
Yorkies
Roast Parsnips
Sprouts - Looooove them...
Carrots
Broccoli
Mashed Swede
Pigs in Blanets
Caremalized pears
