Whats up with my nipple?

My nipple has started stinging, i'm pretty sure it's not thrush as i've had it before but that was months ago.

Anyways, my nipple is flat, but Savannah has managed pretty well over the last 8 months. Now it is stinging, my bra touches it and it hurts. I left it to dry out outside my bra for an hour or so and it's started to peel. Like just small bits of dry skin, not like a sunburn peel but more like when you get a scratch and theres some skin peeling off.

Any idea what it is? Savannah doesn't have teeth yet and no bumps.

ETA: It also stings when she's drinking.

I mean lthe stuff you wash your clothes in. If my sister wears clothes that have been washed in anything other than her washing powder, she gets various levels of skin irritations - even if she just borrows a top from me!

My nipples don't touch anything but breast pads, lol. And I haven't even changed the brand or box of them

I know you said she doesnt have any teeth yet but could one be coming?? Doesnt their wee and saliva change....or did I dream that??

Nope, I buy a big 60 pack box so haven't bought one for months. I didn't know anything about their saliva changing! Maybe it's that... My right nipple has always been sensitive

Their wee gets really strong when they are teething. Something about chemical changes - I was just wondering if her saliva might be irritating them??

No, that has helped thanks! My right side is extra sensitive because of it being flat so i've always had some pain/discomfort anyways, sounds like this is what it is

So now theres red dots all over my nipple, and only on one side. They look like blood blisters and are about the size of a pin head...
