Hi my lo is just over 9 month old though a little less corrected.

I'm quite comfortable with our routine ATM but not sure if it will naturally change as he gets older. Will he tell me if he wants larger portions etc. When does their milk intake become less?

A norm ish day
BF around 6am
Breakfast 8-8:30am (usually weetabix with fruit)
Bottle 9:30 (sleep can be up to 2hrs)
Lunch 11:30-12 (usually our dinner from the night before)
Bottle 1:30pm-ish then another sleep
Dinner 4:30-5pm
Bottle 6pm
Bottle 8-8:30pm

We don't really do snacks yet.
Please share yours…

Hiya,

My Los day is as follows (on average), she's just coming up to 9 months;

7am bf (although I'm stopping now and it's usually a bottle, about 5oz)
8am breakfast toast/porridge/weetabix with fruit purée
10am bottle 5oz ish
12pm dinner sandwich/scrambled egg/something on toast/pasta with a yoghurt or fruit or jelly or custard
2pm bottle (5oz ish)
4:30pm dinner similar to lunch or maybe a jar depending on what's happening with a similar pudding
6:30pm bottle for bed (again around 5oz)
When she wakes in the night (usually once or twice I bf)

I offer water with meals inc breakfast

When lo is at nursery she will have a snack in between breakfast and lunch, I don't tend to set a snack in place, if I'm eating fruit ill offer her some or if I'm busy getting dinner for us ready I might give her some pitta bread or bread stick or some of the organic carrot crisp things to keep her occupied.

I was worried about milk, sorry my amounts are a bit random as I've only just got her to start actively drinking from a sippy as she was a bottle refuse. Before this, when she was at nursery she'd literally only have a bf in the morning and at night and that's the only milk she would drink, everything else would be food based, like cereal and milk. The staff told me not to worry too much about that.

I go back to work next week and ill give mil milk for her but I'm unsure as to whether she'll accept it or not

Xx

My LO is 9 and a half months now,

6.30-7 wakes up and bf
8 breakfast, porridge or weetabix and fruit
9.30 ish nap, about an hour or 1 and a half hours
11-11.30 bf (this one is hit and miss, think this will be the next feed to go)
12.30 lunch, often only a small lunch as she doesn't eat much at lunch yet.
2 ish nap
3-3.30 bf
5 dinner, this is her main meal and she eats a lot!
6.30 bf and bed.

No snacks yet unless we are out and we miss lunch sometimes, then I often give a yogurt, fruit or one of those Ella's kitchen bics.

My LO is a bit older but we've been following same routine for a while

6-7am wake up and bf
8am breakfast
9am nap 1-2hours
11am bf but this is turning into more of a snack time
12-1230 lunch
2 nap 30min-1 hour
430-5 dinner
615 bath
640 bottle (8oz)
7 bed

And he's up once a night at least and I bf then.

We have been on this routine for a while now and the only thing i see changing soon is dropping maybe one of the bottles when she decides she wants to.

6.30-7...breakfast of porridge made with her milk
9-9.30....Bottle anywhere between 5-8oz (i make a full 9oz bottle then she takes what she wants)
Nap usually right after bottle(about half n hour, never been a good napper)
12-12.30....Lunch, often spoon fed whizzed dinner from night before and a finger food option.
2-2.30....Bottle same as before
5-5.30....dinner, usually what were having whizzed and some left for finger food option
7ish, bedtime bottle same as before.

If out and about will use ella's garden pouches and pack something for a finger food/snack.

Different things suit different babies and different families, i have learned through trial and error to follow babies lead and when is works dont mess with it!! lol.

Thanks girls. You've all made me realise I'm doing it correct so to speak. Though my little man looks to take after me not wanting to go to bed for fear of missing anything.

Do you think the bottles will just drop out naturally and be replaced with a snack and cup of milk ?

Your lo will let you know when she is ready to drop one.

Grace was just never hungry when i realised she needed to drop a bottle, gave her a chance to eat more solids and actually get a little hungry between meals so im expecting the same next time and will probably be the afternoon bottle that goes i guess.

Your doing fine honey, it will all just fall into place dont worry.

:hugs:
