Hey ladies!! Just got my BFP this past weekend...we're due to have our rainbow baby in February!! Sooo excited, but SO scared at the same time. I called my OB today and made my first apt for Tuesday, June 25th. UGH! It seems sooooooooo far away! I'm scared something will happen before then! Our baby stopped growing around 6 1/2 weeks, and we lost the pregnancy at around 8 weeks in March. I don't think I'll ever be 100% fully excited until I have a HUGE belly. :nope:

When are you ladies planning on telling EVERYONE in the world?? Make it facebook official and all of that?? My hubby told his best friend, and I told mine, but THAT'S it!! Our families and the whole world won't know until a LOT later in the pregnancy. We told a lot of people early the first time and it bit us in the butt. It was REALLY hard having to go back to everyone and tell them that we had lost the baby....just awful. I'm thinking sometime around 13 weeks will be a good time to tell everyone. The chance of miscarrying goes down A LOT after the 1st Trimester is over. But, if I start to get an obvious belly before 13 weeks, then I guess we'll have to let the cat out of the bag. Sooo not until end of July, beginning of August is when we'll tell everyone. JEEEEESH!! That's soooooooooooooooo far away!! I don't know how we'll keep it locked up for 2 whole months!! Good luck everyone!! Prayers for sticky babies!!! :happydance:

my BF and I have been telling close friends here and there, kind of just as we see them. We have only told my parents, and his brother and sister in law at this point for family. I am ging to visit and let my family know this weekend (will be 12 weeks saturday). I am nervous to tell them before my 12 weeks scan, but fingers are crossed all will be fine. As for Facebook, I am not doing that at all. I made a facebook announcement last year at 19 weeks, at 22 weeks, premature labour cause my baby to be born sleeping, it was the most awful time in my life....especially for months afterwards when FB friends would ask how the baby is doing. So, this time around, we are keeping it between us, our families, and good friends. Everyone else can find out on their own!

I haven't told anyone but my hubby, my doctors, and my co-worker. The first two are obvious but I only told my co-worker in case something happens at work. I work at a somewhat physical job and some of my symptoms were fairly obvious (running out of the room to puke). Also didn't want to faint or start bleeding and have to explain then. Otherwise, I'm holding out for at least 12 weeks. Part of me feels like I'll jinx it to say anything too soon and, since I'm 10 weeks today, it's only a few more weeks. Not sure if I'll do anything on Facebook until later though if at all. Most people will know before I'd post anything anyway.

I told my parents at 5 weeks (when I was sure it wasn't a chemical) because they know about the first MC and I wanted to have my mom's emotional support if it happens again. I also told my two closest friends for the same reason. DH doesn't intend to tell anyone yet, but might his parents if it comes up. Otherwise we're waiting until week 14, second trimester--unless there are concerns that have come up in which case we'll probably wait until those are resolved.

So sorry about your earlier loss. I know exactly what you mean about having trouble feeling fully excited. :hugs:
