i know im way to early but i was just wondering when you lot are trying to evict lil ones? as this is my second and he is really low midwife said my cervix would be softer and more easy to influence, so was thinking of starting around 36/37 weeks, obviously i know it wont work unless he is ready but anything is worth a try!

You shouldn't try until at least 37 weeks when you are considered full term :)

thats why i put 36/37 weeks coz i wasnt sure which one it was, now i know lol:dohh:

Yeah, I don't think its a good idea to start before 37 weeks.

My due date is today...
Since 37 weeks i have tryed all sorts but all i seem to get is the odd contraction and period pains.
I think im starting to learn the baby will probs just come when it comes.
But do what you want to do when you're full term.

well LO has been head down since 29 weeks and keeps bouncing off my cervix lol, so hopefully should be ready a lil bit early, fingers crossed not before 37 weeks tho, because of discomfort from spd midwife has spoke about sweep at 38/39 weeks if all is in a good position but she sed i might not need it as things might happen really quick for me, god i hope so, 2 days late with a 3 day labour with the last

not trying lol theres more than enough time for baby to come and even if out will be easier than in im gonna make the most of my time with my boys before i have to share out my time more

I also have spd with this pregnancy and it is just horrible! I will not be trying to induce myself early or anything of the sorts but if she happens to make an appearance around 38-39 weeks I won't complain lol. If she is anything like my older daughter...she will stay put until I HAVE to be induced :haha: Good luck to you!

I'm not going to, baby can come when its ready.

I have been bouncing, nipple stimulating an we DTD last night. So far I've had a bit of plug loss and some stronger braxton hicks but nothing really. I know babies come when their ready but there's no harm in trying a few things to pass the time and have a bit of fun in the process!

I tried at 37 weeks desperately, then when nothing worked I realised I should probably just relax and let it happen when it will, I bounce on my ball quite a lot to encourage baby to move down but that's about it now apart from rlt to hopefully reduce labour time. I'm enjoying doing what I want to do when I want to (I still feel impatient though!) lol xxx

Not gonna try and get her out until I pass my due date. I will try to be patient till then. Great if she decides to come early but I have lots to keep me occupied until she does arrive

probably 38w. My daughter came at 39 weeks and i wouldnt mind it again :) Only going to up my walking/activity and clary sage oil though. Maybe the odd BD lol

I had a super bad experience with induction with my last pregnancy, so my consultant is actively encouraging all 'natual' ways of induction. He has written in my notes that the community midwife can start sweeps at 37 weeks, in the vague hope of stimulating something. I am going to start drinking as much RLT as I can stomach from 34 weeks, to soften the cervix in prep for the sweeps. I am also going to start expressing twice a day from 37 weeks. Anything to avoid the hospital induction process again.

I'll prob. start around 36 weeks, knowing full-well that baby won't COME at 36 weeks, but if I've been prepping for a few weeks, then perhaps I have a shot at a 38 or 39 week baby. :) No amount of DIY things will cause me to spontaneously deliver baby before its ready, so I don't worry about starting a little early to hopefully prepare my body to move along more quickly when it IS ready. My babies seem to cook fast... dd was born at 37.5 weeks and she was 7 lbs 11 oz already (imagine if she were full term!) and ds was born at 38.5 weeks and he was 9 lbs 6 oz! So... I really don't prefer going all the way to due-date, if for nothing else then for the sake of my body...delivering my hefty boy last time left its marks on me!

I wont be doing any DIY inducing, if my baby hasnt arrived then to me it means baby is not ready - certainly not before 40wks - after 40wks possibly??:flower:

wait til 37 weeks

but in all honesty...nothing works unless LO is readyxx

I've thought about and realised nothing you do is going to make them come early. IMO its just a conincidence that baby comes after trying things to induce.

The only think ive been doing is walking to engage him more, but I do need to get walking after putting on 4.4lbs in 1week!!!
