When can I expect to stop bleeding?

I had a c section about 2 1/2 weeks ago, and I'm so (tmi) horny! How long does it take to stop bleeding? Some days it's real light, others it's heavy with tissue still coming out. Any insight would be appreciated. My Dr never mentioned when it was OK to have sex again, and I forgot to ask.

It took about 4/5 weeks for my bleeding to fully stop, it was super light though and by the 4th week it was just a snotty discharge type stuff (sorry tmi!)

When I had my dd the bleeding stopped at around 3ish weeks it was on/off before then, me and hubby Dtd around 4weeks when I felt ready and just took things really carefully.

I had moderate bleeding during the week I was in the hospital...by the time I went home (I was in for 5 days after my surgery plus 2 days before that) I was having what was pretty light bleeding and it tapered off very quickly and ended by about 4 weeks.

They told me no sex for 6 weeks and I was so uncomfortable still (dry from BF ) that we didn't until about 8 weeks pp

I also stopped bleeding around 4 weeks and was also told to wait 6 weeks to dtd. Even if you have stopped bleeding it takes about 6 weeks for your cervix to close so, there is a higher risk of infection if you dtd before 6 weeks.

About 5 weeks for me total. Doctor cleared me for sex as soon as the bleeding stopped completely and as long as it was comfortable for me


ETA, i only dilated to about a 5 before my section so that may have something to do with the early clear.

I bled for 5 weeks, but only the first week or ten days was really heavy. After that it was light and then for the last couple of weeks it more like brown, discharge stuff rather than actual bleeding.

Good for you for being horny. We tried to DTD at 6 weeks PP and it was a total fail. Seriously, the worst sex of my life. I think my OH was still a bit freaked out by what he'd watched me go through, and, sorry for TMI, even though I'd stopped bleeding by then, I was super dry and it was really uncomfortable. I don't know if my experience was common though, but maybe get your hands on some lube just in case.

Thanks guys. The bleeding stopped right at the 4 week mark for me. We've been dtd when we feel like it now with no problems yet. Lol @ zephram. Sorry your experience was so bad. Made me laugh though
