I ovulated about 6-8 days before my period and I am 3 days late!
Ever test I take is negative!
Should I wait another week?
I hate being in limbo!

Are you absolutely sure that you ovulated only 6-8 days before your period? O: Do you have a chart by chance I could see, if you chart? If you don't chart then how are you tracking your ovulation?

I'm asking because that is an extremely short time between ovulation and period (its called LP). Most women have atleast 10 days (and up to 14 on average) between their ovulation and period. If your LP is under 10 days then it will be extremely difficult to conceive in the first place; it doesn't give your body enough time to fertilize an egg and implant it.

So, my guess is that you probably have your LP wrong and you are 9DPO which means you are too early to test. Early pregnancy tests can only test around 10 to 11DPO. So, tomorrow or the day after should be a better time to test...

I don't have a chart, I was using the First Response Ovulation Kit and that was when the tests showed I was closest to ovulation

Do you know exactly how long your cycles are? Also, if you have an issue, like PCOS (like i have) you can get false positives on those tests. The best way to verify ovulation is to do temps as well as use OPKs :)

My cycles are 29 days
I haven't done temps, I'm pretty new to this, but I supposed I will start now

Doing temps will help a lot :) Thats how I found out that I wasnt ovulating and was able to show to a doc and get it treated.

If you start temping, just remember a few things: 1- always take your temps at the same time every day, no matter what. If you take it a different time then you have to throw out that temp for the day. I personally take my temp an hour or two before I need to wake up for the day.

2- When you take your temp, you have to take it immediately after you wake up and you cant move at all. You cant even sit up. So, you need to stay lying down and temp

3- You need atleast 3-4 hours of solid sleep before you can temp.

4- You can temp either vaginally or orally, its up to you. Whichever method you do, you have to continue doing though, or the temps will be inaccurate.

Lastly, I suggest using fertility friend or ovufriend to track your temps. Both are available as apps and online (My chart below is through Fertility friend). They are helpful because they can actually track your temps and let you know when you have ovulated. You'll get red crosshairs on your chart when you have.

if you have any other questions, feel free to ask me!

I totally agree with bee. to add to tat, you can track ur cm. it turns to ewcm around ovulation, that helps the little swimmers to reach the tube.

u can check if u have shooting pain either right/left ovary. i usually confirm my ovulation based on this, as every month it nails.

however each person is different, u just need to monitior the changes in ur body to pin down ur ovulation.
