Hi All,

Just a small question- when did you feel your baby move. I am 15 weeks and it was nearly ten years ago when I had my son, so I don't remember exactly when I first felt him move properly?

I am just worried cos I have felt a few 'bubbles' but nothing definite yet. I have had my first scan and all was well. I think that I am just getting a bit paranoid.

Thanks in advance,

I think at about 16 weeks I felt my first flutters but often found it hard to tell the difference between baby and wind but at 19 weeks I felt my first proper kicks where I knew it was definatly baby. Could see him moving my skin.

You've just put my mind at rest, thanks :D

I was starting to get worried LOL!.

I feel like this is my first pregnancy because of the age gap, I know I'm being daft but I just worry. But I won't worry now :D

Thanks again!

I started getting funny things in my tummy from 16 weeks which a girl at work told me was the baby moving, but I never really believed it. I can't remember when I started getting proper kicks, it happened quite gradually, but Im 20 weeks now and theyre really strong. OH can feel them too :)

I really felt like there should have been some build up to the big kicks. Maybe there was and I just dismissed it as gas.

I remember sitting on the computer one morning and feeling 3 thumps which I could also feel with my hand but still being somehow doubtful that it was baby. Then that evening I sat watching TV with OH and he kept kicking. It was the best feeling in the world!

how do kicks feel different from flutters?
i feel like little bumps and sometimes the bumps are kind of a flowy movement ( that when i think it turns a bit) ?

I suppose they're like extra hard flutters or taps. To me they feel like when you have a nerve go a bit crazy sometimes but have got stronger than that now.

The only way I can describe it when it happens to me is like someone prodding you in your belly. Which I guess it is, but thats what it feels like anyway! Its such a strange feeling but I love it!

I redhorse, I have a 12 year old DD and now one on the way. I feel the same as you though... kinda like first pregnancy!

I remember most of the information, and as I research different topics it comes back to me. I felt movement at 14-15 weeks.

I'm amazed at all the new stuff though for babies... How'd we ever raise a child without the boppy and all the other cool little gadgets they have now?

Cupcake - It was that roly poly turning around movement, like what your tummy does when you ride an elevator (that's what it felt like to me anyway). :) But it sounds similar to what you're feeling.

Now I feel definate pokes from LO. From the outside it feels like a pulse (like in your neck or wrist). It's not particularly strong, but its there. And from the inside, it's like a poke in reverse ;)

im 16 weeks and i started experiencing movements yesterday and thought it was just me! But after reading it now im kind of sure it could be my first movement of the baby. But OH thinks im making it up and thinks its too early.

I started feeling flutters around 17-18 weeks and officially got kicks at about 20 weeks. What an amazing feeling... now she's always beating me up in there :)

I started to feel odd flutters around 16 weeks but no definite movements until 18 weeks!

I feel much better now, I think I was just getting worried because we have already had one miscarriage in the family and I was getting paranoid that I couldn't feel LO yet.

Thanks Margerle, I know what you mean- it really feels sometimes as if we couldn't manage without all of the gadgets that we can get today LOL! The newest thing out when Zach was born was a microwave steam avent bottle sterilizer.

Still, I am really enjoying my pregnancy- the sickness arrived later this time and is hanging on a little even now, but I know that things will get better soon.

Good luck with your pregnancies girls, it's nice to have other people to share my worries with :D

I was around 16 wks when I first felt baby! x

Don't worry hun! With my first I felt movement at about 16 1/2 weeks, but it's not really easy to tell for sure that it's baby until you're a good 18-19 weeks!

I'm 14 1/2 weeks with this one and haven't felt a thing yet! And I don't expect to for at least two more weeks! Good luck!:hugs:

Thanks Madwolf. I just think sometimes that when you have kids as far apart as I have that you forget everything. I just seemed to breeze through the last pregnancy, but I have to say that I am prolly looking back on my last pregnancy with rose tinted specs.

Thanks for the kind words! Good luck with your bump too :)

You'll be due in July like me then?
