Yes I know its a baby club :) but i just have to ask, how long did it take you to go back to your pre-pregnancy weight and size?

I actually managed to gain 20kg during pregnancy. Dropped 10kg in the first week and thats it. Its 3.5 months later and im still the same weight!!! I dont exercise as i just cant find time ((( i eat ok, no sweets no junk, low carb.

I dont know what to do, do i kick it up a notch and join the gym somehow, or do i just accept im gonna be a new size (which is totally fine except i would need a bunch of new clothes which i cant afford yet)

I think i just dreamt about all those kgs just falling off me as i care for the baby haha )) reality hit hard ...

Are you ebf? I know most who say they breastfeed and the weight drops off but it has never worked that way for me. All 3 of my kids I had to wean to lose enough to be at pre- pregnancy size. Right now I'm in maternity pants because I'm still too big for my pre-pregnacy clothes. I'm still a good 15 lbs above what I started out at. I'm very slowly losing. I'd actually recommend getting my fitness pal and not to limit calories or anything but to see what you are eating and actually make sure you are eating enough. Especially if nursing.. If you don't eat enough, Sometimes the body holds onto fat making sure there is something to feed baby. If you aren't nursing, ignore that part lol I didn't think I was eating badly or too much until I signed up for my fitness pal and saw what i was eating. Also if you can manage a walk now and then, it can really help too. I gave myself a hard time for not being pre-pregnacy weight by this point with my other two babies but honestly I've learned I need to cut myself slack.. And so should you. Sometimes it just takes longer for some to lose it than others so try not to compare. I will be going to some thrift stores soon to get a little bigger pants to be comfortable until I get to the smaller ones. They say it took us 9 months to gain the weight and should give ourselves at least that to lose it although many it takes a year.

So this was long haha it's normal not to lose it all by this point and try not to stress, eat well when you can, walk when you have the chance and enjoy your baby :hugs:

I have't weighed myself since baby has been born, but I think I am probably back to pre-baby weight, but I still have a jelly belly. I had a difficult time because my LO was born Dec 8 and we host Christmas at our house every year. There are always lots of leftover cookies and cakes and chocolate and I found I was absolutely starving the first few weeks I was nursing so I ate a lot of sugar and Christmas junk the first month post partum. I exercise quite a lot but I don't restrict calories at all because I don't want my milk supply to drop. I can tell the weight is coming off and I am firming up, it is just taking time and I am ok with that. I personally wouldn't just accept that I am a bigger size but that's more for health reasons than appearance.

Eugh i feel bad now (

Im not nursing no, so there is no reason for me to eat. I walked a lot with my dd in the first couple of months and now i just hate walking where we live. Its by the main road and there is a tonne of vehicles passing by. I dont think its healthy for her to breath in those fumes.

We went to a park once eugh what a palava that was, car seat, carry cot, half hour drive each way, the park was nice but then she got hungry and cried all the way home (there werent anywhere to sit on the inside and feed)

Guess i need to find a new park, either that or make a pact with my OH that he watches her whilst i go for a run or something

I am lucky in that my OH is more than happy to be on baby duty while I work out, and we also have a home gym in our basement. I often work out after LO has gone to bed at 7 pm, or if my OH is home I will work out during the day. Three times a week my OH meets me at the pool on his way home from work so I can hand the baby off to him and he can go home and put her to bed while I go swimming. Lately I've also been trying to nap once a day when LO goes down so that I have the energy to exercise. If I'm too tired then it is just not happening!

Last two times it took around 9 months. I wasn't trying though

First baby 6 months (was significantly under by 11 months), second baby never, haha. I'm probably 2-3kg over my pre-preg weight. Don't know about other people, but losing the last couple of kilos slid a long, long way down my priority list once I had two kids!

I think it also depends on the age. Im classed as an old mum (boooo) and im not as i used to be where i could eat what i wanted and be slim. Slow metabolism now and all that.. my arms are toned though (lol) from carrying lo around. I love it, cuddling and kissing and smelling her)))) awesomeness magnified 💜💜💜

With my twins I gained 38lb, by 2 weeks PP I was about 12lb more than pre preg weight. I did loose some more but then gained it all back when they were a bit older. With my singleton I gained 24lb. First time I weighed myself was 8 weeks PP and I was 3lb lighter than pre pregnancy. I have no problem loosing pregnancy weight, just the rest wont shift lol

Don't feel bad! It's just so different for everyone.. Breastfeeding or not. You are still busy taking care of a little human :) that being said if you have the energy, time and support, I would incorporate some sort of exercise. I don't know that it helps me lose weight at this point but if nothing else, it gets you out and moving which can lift a mood and make you feel better. I know it's frustrating. Be kind to yourself! Hugs!

It was a couple weeks to a couple months with my first. I don't remember what it was with my second, but it was closer to 9 months or so.

Yeah, me too, I'm 40!

I'm sure if I could find time to go for a decent walk 5 days a week, I'd drop the kilos in a couple of months, but like I say, there are about 50 items above "go for a decent walk" on my to-do list every day.

Exactly, finding time is hard. We have a hefty mortgage and a few credit cards which are now solely on my OH shoulders financially so I try my best to be stepfords wife. So housework and baby take up all my time (and my OH thinks i have got it easy lol but i dont mind, i do agree it is easier than working, its the lack of independence thats hard nothing else)

I'm already smaller than pre pregnancy I think. I haven't been dieting or anything but I didn't put on much weight this time round.

Running around after three kids and breastfeeding is the reason why I think.

i slowly gained and kept some with each pregnancy if i work out i can drop it x

I gained 25kg. I was 47kg and got up to 72kg

I lost around 10kg in the first few weeks and stayed around that weight for months until I put in a lot of effort on the exercise and diet front.

Now, at 11 months pp I'm still not back to where I was. I weigh 54kg, so I'm still 7kg heavier than pre-pregnancy.

To be honest I was aiming for 50kg as I didn't think you could actually get back to your pre preg weight without really working your arse off!

With my first i want to say i stayed about 25 30 pounds over my pre preg weight for about a year. Then i finally dieted and lost it in about 6 months. By the time she was 2, i weighed about 15 pounds lighter then i was pre preg at 116.

This time, i gained 40 pounds. Ive lost 20 of it, i have 20 to go to be happy. I would love to lose 30 though to be at 120. (Im only 5.3)

I literally could've written your post haha, I am EXACTLY the same. Lost 10kg straight up and have been the same ever since. My bubs just turning 4 months and I am now starting to see a change slowly happening thank god. I've read there's a hormone that drops off between 4-6 months and that's when it gets easier to lose the weight x

Ohhhhh I never heard that but would be great! Hopefully it gets going again soon. I've pretty much been stuck at the same point since 6 weeks postpartum even with the eating right and exercise. I usually can get to 125 and lose the other ten pounds after weaning but I've been stuck at 137/138 which is frustrating me. Even with knowing I don't lose weight well while nursing. Trying to be patient lol
