When did you ovulate again?

I had an early MC at 5 weeks and 2 days earlier this month. I bled for about 5-6 days and my HCG levels are normal and ultrasound is clear. I passed it all naturally and with no complications.

I'm now 24 days post MC and my temps haven't indicated ovulation. I've had fertile CM but negative OPKs and no temp rise. Usually I O CD 22-23. My CM has all dried up and I don't think I'm going to O this cycle now.

I had thought being an early loss everything should go back to normal straight away.

Can anyone share what happened for them and any advice.

Thanks.

I'm not sure either but was wondering the same thing, my temps are up and down at the moment so it's hard to read my chart.

I don't know if the fact I was 10w when I miscarried will have any bearing or whether it should still just go back to normal

Bumbleberry, I'm sorry for your loss. At 10w you were much further along than me. Did you pass naturally or have a D&C. I heard having a D&C can make it take a little longer to get back to normal. I was hoping for me, at 5 weeks, things should go back to normal straight away.

So sorry for your loss X
I ovulated just a few days later than I would after my 5 week MC. But after my other 2 which required D and C it took me 1-3 cycles to ovulate. Everyone's body is different. But if you dot ovulate his cycle you should do next. Good luck :flower:

Thanks trying, I'm so sorry for your losses. Thanks for sharing.

I thought there could still be a small chance I'll O a little later than usual, but now my fertile CM has gone, I think this has got to be anovulatory or the start of a really long crazy cycle were anything could happen :(

Don't worry if its anovulatory. It's very common after a loss and completely normal.
You should definatley ovulate next cycle. :flower:

It's hard to feel ok about an anovulatory cycle. It feels like it's been a long time since we started trying (I know it's not as long as others, but we are getting impatient). We are seeing a fertility specialist for testing at the moment, so we were just hoping we'd get our sticky BFP before having to get intervention.

Im so sorry for your loss :( Its heartbreaking. I had a mc at 5 week's and 3 days on 23rd June.

My next af was 23rd July and I had no fertile cm at all during that cycle. Actually I don't think I had any cm at all. I think I had an anovulatory cycle last month. Cm has gone back to normal this month though so hoping to ov in the next couple of days. Fingers crossed for you xx

Thank you, I'm sorry for your loss too. Thanks for sharing. Do you temp? Or did you assume based on the CM? Good luck this cycle.

FF has give me crosshairs although I know I didn't O when it's saying I did. Either way, we did BD then if I did O.

So sorry for your loss xx I had a MC 13th July, now on cd 25 since and no positive OPK yet but I'm not temping, started getting EWCM so hoping I will ovulate in the next few days, I'm not surprised as my baby was still alive the day before the MC so I imagine it took a little longer for hormones to get out of my system, my first MC I ovulated 3 days later than normal so seems everyone is different. I hear annovulatory cycle isn't uncommon though. Fingers crossed yours is just late xx

I'm so sorry for your loss missgossip. Yours wasn't too long after mine.
I've never had much luck with OPKs. They never go positive and I get sick of doing them.
It looks like I may have ovulated. About a week after I usually would. My CM was fertile when I usually O but then it disappeared and went more creamy. Then I got a temp rise. Hopefully we got enough BDing in. I'd given up by the time my fertile
CM passed.
I hope you ovulate this cycle. FX :)

I haven't been temping or using opks, purely for the fact that hubby doesn't like the thought of it becoming routine. I guess it takes the romantic side away from it for him! I'm purely relying on cm this cycle as it worked when I got pregnant in June.

In a way I'm kind of glad that I didn't get pregnant the cycle straight after because I was still quite emotionally unstable which I wasn't expecting with such an early loss. Didn't realise how hard it would hit me. So I think missing a cycle and giving my head and heart some time has definitely helped. Either way I hope you get your cycles back so you can try for your rainbow x

That's fair enough. My DH use to be dead against it. He would say TTC isn't meant to be a science experiment. But the longer it's taken, the more interested in temping he has become. He will ask to look at my chart and when he's away for work, he'll ask what my temp was that morning. He doesn't fully understand the ins and outs, but he's interested.

Just a word of warning about tracking with CM only. If you look at my chart you'll see I had a patch of EWCM and watery CM. That started and finished around the time that it usually does for my O. But then my CM went creamy and I thought for sure it as going to be an anovulatory cycle. However, I got my temp rise to confirm ovulation four days after my fertile CM dried up.

I feel ready to try again. But if we have another loss, I'm not sure how I'll handle that. But I have to have hope and get back on the horse.

Like they say, no matter how early, a loss is a loss and it's hard. Good on you for know you needed and taking some time to get in the right headspace. FX for you!

That's lovely that he's so interested! Dh looks at me like I'm mad when I try explaining it all! The other day I even tried to compare it to the football premier league transfer window! :haha:

Yeh I take tracking cm with a pinch of salt really. I just use it as a starting point then we just bd every other day around that time but just sort of extend it another week just to be sure!

I know what you mean. I don't know what to do if I have another loss. It really messed me up for a few weeks and that could take its toll on my family if repeated too often. Dh is 41 this year and I'm 34 so we're not getting any younger. We've said if it goes wrong again then we may have to just call it a day or we're going to give ourselves til next year and then call it quits. It'll kill me to make that decision but hopefully I won't have to!

Fx to you too! Will be lovely to be able to see us posting bfps in a couple of weeks!! :)

I'm sorry for everyone's losses. I just miscarried at 5w4d last week, it completed naturally and my scan today was all clear. I don't think we will be actively TTC this month, I won't be temping or doing OPKs. I will still probably keep an eye on my CM so I can know when to expect AF.

What do you consider CD1 when you have a miscarriage? First day of spotting or first day of full red flow? I had three days of spotting before the heavy bleeding started.

Im.so sorry.you for your loss. I had a mmc in 2014. I did not ovulate the cycle afte . But then conceived my youngest the following cycle.
I know how hard it is to wait. I'm so sorry you are going through this.

Wishnandhopn, I'm sorry for your loss :( I hope you're doing ok. My DH and I decided we wanted to start trying straight away. So I took a wee break from temping and tracked CM and then did both. I had fertile CM at the time I usually O, but no temp rise. Then my CM all dried up and about a week later I got a temp rise. Keep in mind that things can be all over the place the first cycle, but fingers crossed it'll all be fine for you. Usually CD is the first day of full flow. I started bleeding heavily on the day of the MC, so I just counted that as CD 1.

Kazy, thanks for your post. It's nice to have some real stories with a positive ending!
