I have a couple shirts that I wear.. not because I need to, they're just pretty. Since I lost 16 pounds in the first trimester, my jeans and things still fit even though my tummy is definitely bumped now!
At 10 weeks I had to wear my outfits differently...like the skirt elastic above the bump etc.
And at 14 weeks I needed actual maternity.
At 21 weeks my maternity tights are getting too tight
I don't understand how some women avoid maternity or delay it significantly. I've desperately needed maternity bottoms each pregnancy at 6-7 weeks. I know it's just bloat that early, but any tight band (even yoga or running clothes) are outrageously uncomfortable. I guess we all carry differently, and starting body shapes and clothing style are part of the story, too. I'm just jealous that women don't need maternity bottoms! I have some maternity tops but I mostly wear my regular tops and my husband's as I get bigger. But bottoms are a must from two pink lines
I'm not wearing maternity clothes but I gave up on jeans and anything tight around 14 weeks! It became incredibly uncomfortable to wear jeans around that time so I just decided to start wearing yoga pants from then on. I don't remember the last time I wore a pair of jeans comfortably!
Ive just this week "popped" and needed to move into my maternity jeans.. I can't fasten the button on my normal jeans anymore.. its ok whilst in and around the house, but when I go out... Can't walk around with my jeans undone ha!
Gonna look into getting some more "newer" mat jeans tho as the ones I have have been with me since my 1st. They look outdated lol x
Switched to all maternity clothes about 20 weeks, but was wearing bits and bobs from about 15 or so, mainly on the top. Though my jeans had to go at 12 weeks this time, I was getting away with normal leggings etc until bump really popped out!
Around 14 weeks is when I made the switch to maternity jeans and leggings. I'm still not that big, but my pre-pregnancy jeans definitely wouldn't fit anymore, even though last month they did (but were extremely uncomfortable).
When I bought them. At about nineteen weeks. I still don't need any of it. But I feel bad spending money on clothes that are so temporary so I put them on and put it to work my maternity leggings slide down fairly often but they are very comfortable and I am crazy impatient for the bump to actually show. Every week I count off how much more time I will get to have to look pregnant and I'm disappointed. My husband tells me how incredibly different I look to him. Especially naked but it's not the same. I really want the bump! I'm lucky that work and movement is still so easy though....
I think the reason my jeans still work fine for me other than the weight loss is because I always wear the low waist kind. So they just fit right under the bump.
I'm in maternity jeggings but ive not been able to get in my jeans since about six weeks because of bloating. Normal tops are still ok on me i just wear leggings and long tops.
I've got a good pair of high waisted leggins which i'm stretching out. They're wearing a little thin now - i'm 19 weeks originally uk size 8- switching to maternity jeans soon - just been given a couple of pairs soo comfy. But probably will continue stretching out tshirts for forseeable future! Will just replace after - while i'm comfy i dont mind xxx
Was about 9 weeks for me, as my bloat was so uncomfortable in my regular jeans. Tops wise I have a couple of maternity tops, but mostly just wear longer tops in the next size up.
at 12 weeks I was wearing maternity jeans. Purely because I cant have jeans/trousers anywhere near my pelvic area as it feels too tight (even if there is room) so im wearing some nice comfy over bump jeans today (under bump is better right now for me as my bump isnt really there just a bit of belly lol)
I'm 22 weeks and not in maternity wear yet. There's a fair bit of my wardrobe I can't wear anymore though. I know I'll have to give in and buy some at some point in the next few weeks.
