Hi everyone daisy is 8 months old and still in her wooden crib from mother care

I thought nothing of it until a memory popped up on fb and it was a pic of belle in her cot at 6 months....

Now im starting to think perhaps we should get her cot now. She still has plenty of leg room in there because unlike Isabelle who is very tall she takes after me and is a bit of a shorty lol

She's quite chunky so I'd hate for her to be squashed in there but she sleeps perfectly in thee still. Apart from last couple of nights waking but that's because of her teeth I think bless her

We moved DS out of his little wooden crib into his cotbod at about six months, he could sit up by then and pull himself to stand do we had to move him. His head was also getting flat which I thought wasn't helped by the thin mattress in his crib.

We didn't use a cot at all until about 8 months. We co-slept so didn't really use a crib either, though we did have a sidecar cot on our bed, though mostly bedshared. We started to put her to sleep in her own room in the evenings in a cot about 8 months, only then because she was jumping up awake and crawling and nearly fell off the bed if I couldn't run up the stairs fast enough. I think if it's working and she still fits, especially if she's already uncomfortable with teething, I wouldn't be in a rush just yet. I'd let the teething calm down and then give it a go if you feel ready to make the switch.

We moved DD when she could sit unaided so 6 months.

How high are the rails? you want to make sure it can safely contain her when she stands and if she tries to climb out.

DD2 is in her moses basket inside the cot..

if she still has room to move and you feel its safe enough I would leave her especially if she is teething.. I wouldn't disrupt her too much x

Ds1 5months
Ds2 3months as he was too long in the Moses basket!
