Our DS is 9.5mo and he has had CMPI (cows milk protein intolerance) since birth and has been on Nutramigen. My DH thought it would be cute to let him try a few licks of his ice cream cone yesterday and last night he kept moaning on and off in the night and was up around 2am :( I feel terrible and we will see tonight if he does it again and it could be another reason (teething, etc) but I'm thinking it was the dairy :( I wanted to revisit dairy again at 12mo but now I'm afraid to give it to him again for a LONG time. When (if ever) did your LO grow out of their dairy allergy?? I'm worried he will has this for the rest of his life!

Following this as well as my daughter can not have soya either and hoping that this is just a phase, I know with us my daughter was looking at being re-introduced through her dietitian at 9 months. I think she said around 1 year things COULD change. so fingers crossed

It was about 1 year old for us. From 10 months I'd regularly (every two weeks or so) try giving him yogurt in the morning but at about 12 months I noticed he was not getting rashes anymore. He now has cow's milk with cereal, yogurt daily, cheese daily.

Tried to wean him onto cow's milk but he was getting constipated so went back on neocate but going to try again in the next few weeks.

He was also allergic to soya.

my friends little girl is 17 months old and still cant have dairy. she has another dairy "test" at 18 months and then 2 years.

DS is 2.5 yrs old and is still intolerant. However in the last few months we have managed to introduce very small amounts i.e. in baking and mash and he doesn't react. He occasionally has a yogurt or cheese slice and is ok. But it is easy to overdo it, so we remain cautious. Milk and ice cream produce the worst results. Our dr told us to try introducing every 3 months from 1 year old. His CMPI doesn't bother us too much now, we are just used to it.

DD had a check up at 2 years and was still allergic but the levels had gone down so much they tried her on some at the hospital slowly over 4 hours just incase ofa reaction. She was fine but if she has too much now she will still get a rash so the allergy hasn't gone comletely.

It was a very gradual thing for us.

My daughter was able to tolerate follow on milk from about 8months and dairy products (cheese, yogurt, butter etc) from about a year old. But she couldn't drink actual milk until she was closer to two and even then she wasn't able to drink large amounts of it without getting a bad tummy. She's just turned 3 now and is more or less fine at last!

Not even close here and he's 14 months, he has eosinophilic esophagitis along with milk/egg/peach allergy so on elecare formula only still. Nightmare now he's getting more mobile and finding things!!

My lo is almost there 😄x
She's 10.5 months and can tolerate a petit filous , or odd bit of cheese ( cooked in a meal) and normal margarine on toast etc.
Few days last week she had ice cream and more cheese and was upset with it up in the night etc
We are slowly getting there. She has always tolerated soya too
