I had a miscarriage last week (based on hcg numbers), and yesterday I started bleeding. When do I start CD1? Will this cycle be long? Should I still Ovulate around when I usually do?

Sorry...Q's!!!!!!

I've had two mcs, but they've both ended in D&C's, so this is unknown territory for me! Hoping to ttc right away though...

Sorry for your loss :(

I count CD1 as the first day of full out bleeding (vs just spotting).

As far as cycle length it could go either way. Ive had it both ways...after my first mc it took several months, but after my chemical it was only a couple days longer. I think with it being a natural loss it may take less time for your body to recover.

:hugs:

Natural losses take way less time.
After my D and Cs it has taken months to get back to normal which I am assuming is why it takes us ages to conceive again. But I had a medical induced loss at end of November. I got EWCM three weeks later and period was normal flow. I have got EWCM again bang on time this cycle. It took me months to have this last time.
We are not trying at the moment so the EWCM is being ignored for now but it's good to know things can get back on track quickly.
I counted the day is miscarried as CD1 the first cycle. I think that's the general rule

natural m/c- day 1 was day 1 of ANY bleeding, like a regular AF would be.

I didnt O and i bled a long time.

With my first MC, I counted CD based on the first day of bleeding, which was the day before the MC. I had another one just after Christmas and I'm counting CD1 as the day OF the MC since I had started bleeding a week and a bit prior, but the baby was still alive then (lost it at 12w).

It's hard to pinpoint when should be the "right" day to count, but for me, the day of the MC seems to make sense.

how many weeks were you ? if you dont mind me asking? I was 13 to the exact day... Just so sad . i asked my doc yesterday when i should expect perood he said within 4 to 6 weeks after the m/c which was the 10th... not sure when to expect a/f

I started to mc at 6 weeks exactly. My earliest one. It seems to hve stopped now (5 days)

My OB also told me to wait a full cycle but I can't say that's going to happen. He said I can expect proper af in 4-6 weeks. But I'm not going to wait. Will just see what happens.

What about if your heavy bleeding qas when ur hcg levels were actually rising?
