When do you count the last feed from?

I'm a bit confused, if I gave a bottle at 7am, and the baby took one hour to finish it (she has a break!), would I give her next bottle around 11 or 12??

I would offer lo a feed when they are hungry for it - whether thats in 2hrs or 4 hrs.

But am wondering why your lo takes so long with a bottle? Perhaps feed smaller amounts but more often rather than trying to get lo to take a big feed that takes a long time?

Back to your original question though I would count it from when the feed starts

She varies in her feeds, I would have thought her morning feed would be so quick, but it's not at the moment..I switched to vari flow teats which made an enormous difference but in the mornings at the moment, she will have about 4oz then have a break and I will offer her the rest.

But depending on how she is feeling that day, she will feed little but often for the rest of the day then, sometimes about 2.5 hours since her last feed she shows the signs of being hungry again.

I keep trying her with cooled boiled water and she will have a little bit then realise its not milk and stop drinking it the little monkey!

A few weeks ago, before she started to sleep through the night, I reduced her bottle feeds to a 4oz's and when she started to finish them then I would increase them the next day.
