Do you save for christmas or just buy things as and when you see them? or do you put money away every week/ month throughout the year? and how do you save.

This year ive started saving with the highstreet vouchers through SILs work i pay 20 pound a month and in october i will get 200 pounds worth of high street vouchers which will mainly be spent on Maisie in the early learning centre. Other than that i have only just started properly saving as im going on a major xmas shopping spree with SIL when we get our vouchers end of october. already spending them in my mind before i get them :dohh:

For Little Man, I just save all his child benefit and use that for his birthday & then christmas, next year I plan on starting 'saving' for everyone else from jan, just a small amount a month too make those couple of months before christmas easier

We save £100 per month from January and increase it to £150-£200 per month October, November and December. We also use it for birthdays throughout the year so take it out as and when needed

I don't save, just buy as and when I see something! I'm still living at home though and don't need money for food etc or I would imagine I'd start saving throughout the year

i start right after christmas so ive got as much as i possibly can but i always have cash left over

I start saving in Jan all through the yr and then spend as I see something, I normally start spending most of it between Oct - December though!

x

I buy as I see BUT this year with having a baby late October I've been trying to save.. not sure it's going too well oopps.

I normally just buy as i see, but next year i am putting so much away each month/week...
but i do, do a change jar through out the year that does the xmas food/drink shop last year i had 35 quid left over! xx

we buy as we see and save £20 a week

we start buying in October a few things each week usually... I will be getting a child tax back pay this Oct/Nov so that will go to Christmas stuff no doubt. I get around $400.00 a month, and will be owed two months worth come Oct. Obviously I will have some left over for other things as well.

Don't really save just buy as I see stuff although I should save.

Last year I started saving in August, this year I started saving in April. We try to save between £100 - £200 a month

I start saving in spring but I also buy as I go along if I see something nice :flower:

we normally stop saving for a month and put that months savings into a different pot. I dunno how that will work thi syear as were buying our house so our current savings are for that. Im royally cutting back this year and doing alot of homemade hampers but i still have a big family.
maybe credit card and pay off in jan when once the house goes through? if its only small items though ill just get them as i see them- stocking fillers, ingredients for truffles/mint creams.
