Please remind me, when does their sleep settle? We've had a few nights where dd (3 weeks old) is sleeping pretty much all day and then in the night is awake for hours on end. She just wants to suckle constantly, which I find difficult to do lying down so I end up sitting up in bed most of the night until she drops off. So tired right now and we have a two year old which means 'sleep when baby sleeps' doesn't really happen 😂😂😂 I know it gets better but I can't remember when...! X

Nearly 7 weeks old here and still dealing with the same issue. Every baby is different though and personally with my first child her sleep didnt settle down until around 6 months after she was weaned and I inteoduxed formula and put her in her own room!
I'm hoping it happens a lot earlier this time!

Ours has been sleeping well since about 7-8 weeks. She now sleeps 7-8 hours and usually has no problem going down at night, unless she is really, really tired and cranky, then she needs a little comfort. Usually though she can soothe herself to sleep. I think mine is an unusual case though. I hear of babies not being able to do this for a long time. I will say her sleep got a lot better once she went to exclusively formula (fed her expressed breast milk supplemented with formula for 6 weeks) and got off her seizure medication.

It depends on each individual baby.

My baby still doesn't sleep through the night. He is 10 months old.

Ds1 is 2.5 years old and doesn't sleep through either...

With my daughter it is hit and miss, some nights she will sleep through, some not... that being said her pedi said she doesn't want her sleeping through the night right now. My LO is in the 17th percentile, and her doctor doesn't want her missing out on those calories she could take in while sleeping through the night.

Baby sorted day and night about 4 weeks and by 7-8 weeks was sleeping with 2 night feeds, about 9 weeks dropped to one feed.

But of course am certain it will change as he's due to be having his 12 week growth spurt soon!

Mine settled quite a lot between 4 to 6 months, just waking for feeds then and then stopped all together at 6 months. They sleep crap again though now at 1 year X

Dd slept with one feed from 2 months ish, and all night from 4 months. DS slept with one feed from 6 (?) months..All night at 9 months...and now at 11 months is waking again and insisting on a bottle...(mostly at 5am tho..he is a bit of a grazer so I think he isn't quite getting enough during the day because he occasionally sleeps 11 hours).
