when I wake up my hands are numb!

does anyone have this problem?
I also have pain in my left thumb where it joins to my wrist.
Sometimes I wake up and both hands are totally numb. I have to hold them up in the air and feel the blood rushing back until I can move them.

does anyone have this?

that sounds to me like carpol tunnel syndrome (sp?).

if you go to your dr's they can refer you to physio who will give you splints to sleep in and some excercises to keep them supple.

EDIT: wrist splints not whole body splints because that would be rediculous!
