When should I join?

I'm going on cycle #10 and wondering when you ladies decided to join LTTTC. Or atleast have infertility testing done. I want to convence myself that it will happen someday, but we seem to plan BDing around my fertile time and AF always shows. I'm just frustrated....everyone around me seems to be getting pregnant so easily.

I also think it might be a problem with my DH's swimmers.....I'm really nervous about approaching him about it. He smokes, and I've been trying to get him to quit.

Sorry if I'm posting in this too soon, I am just confused as to why this isn't happening.

I moved here from the TTC boards after I passed the 15 month mark and was getting into diagnosis and treatment. But I don't think it really matters, everyone here is different.
When you decide to start testing is up to you.. for most people it depends on how old you are and your medical history and stuff.
It certainly can't hurt, no matter what stage you're at, to find out a little bit more.

I would start with a blood test and ultrasound for you, to make sure you're ovulating and that your ovaries look OK. The doc may want to check your tubes are unblocked too.

Whatever you do, don't let your DH off the hook. If you're getting tested he should too! In couples where there is a fertility problem, 1/3 of the time it's with the woman, 1/3 with the man and 1/3 with both the woman and the man. So it's just as likely to be him as it is you. Especially if he smokes. I say this as someone who has a DH who is smoker too, and he has very poor quality sperm.
