When to consider IUI or IVF?

I have been trying to conceive for 13 months with PCOS, but I only knew I had it since October and since have been taking metformin. When do you take it to the next level? I know it's early, but I'm afraid another year is going to come and I still won't be pregnant. So my question is when do you consider IUI or IVF?? You girls that are going through infertility when did you consider it? Is it a good answer for PCOS??

whenever you are ready for it, can't advise on pcos. have you had any other treatment yet?

Have you and your partner had full work-ups? I'm presuming you've had all the hormones tested considering the PCOS diagnosis. Have they checked tubal patency? Have they done a sperm analysis? Have they started you on fertility drugs?

There are many things to check before jumping into IUI/IVF. Might be worthwhile to do some reading so you're prepped for your appointment.
