When did everyone do the change from cot to bed?
Rosie has never tried to climb out of her cot, she is tall enough to be able to get out, but has just never bothered, so we have kept her in the cot, but i didnt know if maybe i should do the transition.

Im off for a week soon, and decorating her bedroom, and didnt know if it was wise to encorparte the move in beds then, or if there is no need?

I'm going to do it at 18 months i think. I've started to look at beds for my daughter so its going to happen soon.

we moved Hannah at 16 months or so? She never did try to escape but she was tall enough to get out if she had tried. It was a really easy transition for her. We told her she was getting a big girls bed and she loved it

Kaysie Blossom moved into hers at 17 months, my reasons for this where she kept deliberately putting her chunky legs between the bars and getting them stuck so when we moved house we took the opportunity to change beds then.

Thanks girl's, definatly think now is the time, so will do the move, of the week im off work, thanks for all the advice.

Erin doesn't even try to climb out of her cot so I don't think she's ready for a big bed just yet. I'm in no hurry whatsoever to move her if she isn't showing any interest in climbing out. I'm going to wait a bit longer for sure.

Molly makes no effort to escape either, and sleeps for about 14 hours at the mo at night, so Im in nohurry to change anything!

I dunno, hmm Rosie sleeps from 6:30 through to 7am on a week day when we have to wake her, or a weekend 8:30am usually.
I dont want to ruin her routine or mess her up, but think she's nearly 2 and is about ready.

AJ is still in his cot. He's showing no signs of trying to climb out and is still quite happy in there. So were sticking with the cot for now.

Hope Rosie likes her big bed. x

Were sticking with the cot for the near future! x

Ella is still in her cot at the moment. She never tries to climb out either. We'll do the move well before her little brother or sister comes along though.

Haha! Same here I am just happy that the girls are sleeping through the night again let alone disrupting that with moving them into beds.

I am on the other side of this.. I aint moving the twins until they are 2! So after Christmas! I dont see why I need to move them now, they arent trying to get out and they dont mind being in their cots.

We have recently got our son's toddler bed but it still isn't assembled, I like him being in the safety of his cot for now, we live in a ground floor apartment and don't have any stair gates,so I have nightmares of him getting out in the night and causing mischief. I think I will have it up for him by 20 months.

I just did it last week, and it has been fine! I did try and do it earlier and it ended up with her laying on the floor near the door every night, but that was way earlier.

Our daughter is 17months. And we made the big switch this weekend just gone :) She was amazing!! No issues at all.. So So So proud!!!! It is the best thing for her! She loves the freedom!

We're doing Serens bedroom out for her 2nd birthday and she'll be moving into a toddler bed then aswell.

Oscar is still in his cot - he has never tried to climb out and I'm not thinking of switching to a bed until it becomes necessary for any reason.

Not switching until it become necessary. We have a cotbed anyway so it would just be a cae of removing the sides. I don't see the point at the moment.
