I've heard 1st babies tend to come late. My first was 10 days late.

Now I'm on my second pregnancy and I'm being told that if you were late before, you're likely to be late again.

This confuses me. Does that mean babies in general tend to come late? Or is one of these statements wrong?

I thought I read subsequent pregnancies often come earlier (although not always) so chances are you could be late again but not by as many days prehaps?

My daughter was very considerate & arrived on her due date but her brother/sister is currently being less so and may be born by c-section.

These babies will just come when they feel like it I guess!

Babies come when they come. There's no magic formula. My first was 23 days early. My second was 10 days early. This one I'm fairly sure will be arriving sooner then both of them. No reason for it. My mother was late with all three of her pregnancies.

There really isn't any relation. My first came at 40+1 and my second at 39+4 but I know people who had their first at 38 weeks and been induced with their second!

My first was 14 days late. During the end of that oregnancy I had just moved house and had loads to do so I was patient and happy to get organised. This time I'm moving house at 27 weeks so have plenty of time to get organised. From 37 weeks I will be on a mission not to be that overdue. I'm talking lots of sex breast pumping curries walks!

My first I was induced 1 week late and he came 30 hours later. My second came 1 week early.

All three of mine were late, but it's really so individual and unpredictable
