We're now on our 13mth without a bfp.. when should we seek medical advice?

If you are under 35 @ the 1 year mark and for 35+, 6 months.:flower:

Oh thanks!
I'm 31 at the mo so might give it another couple of months and make an appointment..

Depends on how quickly you'll get into the doctors. I know I waited until the 12th month and forgot that it'd probably take a while to get an appt! :)

I'm currently 29 and have been ttc for 25 months. I started seeking medical advice and tests at 6 months (I was 27), since I came from a family of fertile myrtles. Sometimes you don't realize how long it takes for certain tests and "do this test then try for 6 more months" can take. At 31 and 13 months ttc I would definitely start the process as it can take much longer then you think.

ASAP The sooner you go the less time you waste. There could be nothing wrong or there could be something that could get fixed, putting it off won't do you any goo dx

Agree with ASAP.

I'm 24 and I went at 6 months because I knew my cycles were wrong after the pill and my GP was fine with that. Had bloods which came back normal and wanted to try for a bit longer before getting more serious so returned again at 12 months, wish I'd just pushed for it earlier now!

Ya I agree with the asap sentiment, I only ended up waiting until month 10 to go to the Dr since my periods were so short I knew something was wrong. She actually commended me on coming in early because I knew something was off instead of just waiting since it just wastes the time you're given.

agreed with ASAP.

Just an example of how long things can take........

My gynae consultant wrote and asked for things to be hurried along for my first appointment as my DS was 10 years old and he didnt want too big an age gap between my LO's (bless my consultant!!)

I had my 3rd appointment thursday and she was reading through my notes and said 'oh you have a 10 years old son'.................. My Reply?? 'No, I have a 12 year old son now!'
