When to start Dieting ?

Hi,

Whilst pregnant i've put on alot of weight which I would like to obviously lose. My LO is now 2 weeks and 3 days...... when can I start dieting. I was hoping to weigh myself and start tomorrow morning as i'm no longer breast feeding.

Dont want tro postpone dieting as i feel i'd just be making an excuse but also wasn't sure if I should be waiting for my 6 week check up?

When did you guys start ?
 
After first of my first i waited till 6 weeks. I had a rough labour & long 1 & stitches.

My second labour was quick straight forward, i never felt like id given birth so started only 'changing stuff' from 2/3weeks.
Like cutting down on the take away food, cutting down on the fizzy drinks, started better at 6weeks along with exercising.
 
If you're not BFing, then I say start whenever you feel you're ready.
I've started a few times, but used the excuse of BFing to never really give it a chance. Now I'm finally ready!
 
I'd say wait till your body recovers and hormones settle down which is usually the six week mark
but top tip, make sure you eat enough as you'll need the energy to look after your LO
