LO has been having Infacol for a few weeks now as she really struggles with getting her wind up and seems very uncomfortable and upset. I was just wondering when to stop giving it her? I don't want to stop it only for her to start getting uncomfortable again and then have to wait a few days for it to start working again, but then how do I know when she is not going to be in pain feeding again? Is it just a case of stopping to see how LO reacts? What did you do and how long did you use it for? X

My LO has been getting infacol for weeks too., I'm not sure its doing anything but I'm still using it. Not sure how long u should use it before u give up but I don't wanna stop and make it worse.

Have u tried anything else? Gripe water ? I also tried these little granules, got them from the boots pharmacy. U put them on the tongue and they dissolve. I didn't notice a difference but they might work for you! X x

We stopped when she became easier to burp...and practically does it herself now. Was about 3.5 months.
X

I've got gripe water but haven't needed to use it yet (touch wood) but I'm not sure if that's because she is generally feeling better or whether it's because the Infacol is working so well! I'm scared of stopping it and her reverting back to how she used to be. I suppose I she is struggling I can use the gripe water as I don't think it needs to build up in their system like Infacol does so will hopefully work straight away. I'll keep an eye out for the granules if gripe water doesn't work, thanks Jen :) x

No probs :) If u do decide to use it u need to ask at the counter, can't remember what its called but the last new when I described it :)

If the infacol is working I don't see any harm in keeping it going til ur sure she won't need it x

We started using infacol around 1 week and still using now at 11 weeks. He brings his wind up really well now so don't want to stop and see him struggle again. I will probably keep going until he is 5-6months xxx

We'll probably stop using it soon - started as she was nigh-on impossible to wind (and it wasn't just us being crap - she defeated midwife after midwife) but now she's winding so much easier I think the immaturity part of her not bringing wind up is starting to resolve itself... thinking we might buy a couple more bottles (we keep one upstairs for night feeds) and then try coming off it.

We stopped using infacol when LO was 5 months and had just started weaning as i was sure then he could get his wind up x x x

Stopped at about 3.5months. Was a bit worse for a few days, then fine.

Just stopped using it. LO is 15 weeks now and is so much better at winding. Was worried at first but 4 days on all is fine x
