my lo is feeding a lot more and im thinking of moving to hurgry baby milk but wondering if i need to see midwife and ask her first ? anyone help ?

There's a growth spurt at 3 months so LO is probably just cluster feeding because of that. I'd speak to your health visitor or gp before switching.

a few people have said they just switched and they never had a problem with it and others said they weened at 12 weeks x

I put Ollie onto hungry baby milk at about 8 weeks...should of done it earlier because it settled him down loads as he was fuller for longer

My LO is only 4 days old and I switched to it yesterday. The one he was on was going straight through him. I didn't consult the midwife cuz I knew it's what he needed, plus he's a big baby so bound to be hungrier

I'm thinking of switching too as my LO seems to be feeding more often.... Only thing is sometimes she only takes half the bottle so im not sure :\

I switched mine at 4 weeks and didn't consult the midwife, not done much as she's still eating every 2 hours though

I have just switched my LO, we have done it slowly though cause i read about it upsetting there tummies, I added another bottle every 5 days, its taken a while but we have had no probs. I asked ages ago at around 3 months, but didnt this time.

xxxx

Hungry baby milk is for babies taking alot of milk very often. Its not really for babies taking small amounts very often or to make them go longer between feeds. At a few days/weeks old its normal for babies to be feeding every 2 hours, as long as they are keeping most of it down then they obviously need this much.
My DD2 didnt go 3 hours between feeds until she was approaching 3 months old and I didnt think she needed hungry baby milk. Maybe if your baby was taking 7-9oz every 2 hours or 50-60+oz a day then hungry baby milk would be appropriate, but I think its best to stay on first milk to make sure they are not missing out on vital nutrients by drinking less than they need. xxxx

I was going to put my 2 week old son on hungry baby as he has been having 3/4oz every 1-2 hours at some points, but my health visitor told me not to because it isn't as good for them and doesn't have all the goodness as first milk! So he's on first milk but thinking of changing from cow and gate to sma to see if that does anything :)
I'd defo talk to health visitor about it just to check its ok :) x

i switched him but he keeps throwing it back up xx
