Where can I donate LO's old clothes to?

I thought about donating them to a local charity shop or something but I'd prefer to give them to someone or an organisation that isn't going to sell them? I know the money made goes to charity but I'd much rather give them straight to somebody who needs them, is there any kind of homeless/young mother institute or something you can do that with? xx

I think OXFAM send them overseas to 3rd world countries

I want to find out if womens prisons take them, the fizz story on Corrie made me think of this

we chuck ours in a big bottle-bank type bin near us, it's for African children

our local tesco has clothes & shoes banks & clothes get sent to Africa... x
