When ttc my son I had a BBT and it was CRAP. What is a good brand of one to get?

I use Fertility Friend but sometimes its WAY off on the predictions does anyone use it and think its helpful? Is there something else someone finds better?

How about ovulation kits? I have wondfo ovulation kids now...

anything else I should know about that could be beneficial to us ttc

Thanks!

This month i'm going to be using CBFM and i chart my cycles on countdowntopregnancy.com :)

I've heard BD Basal is the best brand to get. You can order it from Amazon, I believe

I have a CVS brand and it seems to work pretty well for me.

I also use Fertility Friend. Are you temping at the exact same time each morning and before you get out of bed? I used to think a half hour to an hour wouldn't really matter and my charts were all over the place. I do it at exactly 5am everyday now and my charts have been much more accurate.

My OPKs are the brand Answer. I buy them at the local grocery store (Krogers, Walmart)

Hope some of that helps. good luck :)

I use FF and I think it works fairly well, my temps are kind erratic, but I think it is my wacky hormones, not the thermometer. I have a Walgreens brand BBT and it seems to work fine.

I have been using CB Digi OPKs the last couple cycles and I like them better, because it is less guesswork, but to be honest, I think tracking my CM is more helpful than the OPKs. I mainly use the OPKs to confirm yes, I actually did get the LH surge, but I BD according to my CM.

I use wondfo opks and then buy a 20 pack of digi tests off of amazon (it's between 30 and 35 dollars) and only use them when I think my opk is positive to confirm so it lasts for a few cycles. I use the BD basal thermometer (it was recommended in Taking Charge of Your Fertility....which I suggest you read...AMAZING book and very highly recommended). Here's the links to buy everything

Oh I recommend that bood too! It covers just about every possible problem you could have and explains causes for each. It is a real sanity saver!

CVS for the thermometer and FertilityFriend for keeping track for me..

Thank you so much! That will be very helpful! Im going to order it now and use what I have till I get this!

A question about bbt charting, now that I have a five month old that likes early mornings and of course I get up at least once a night to use the bath room I wonder when would be TOO early to take temp. Since it should be after getting up, talking ect.

I would just try to take it when you normally get up. What time does LO usually wake for a feeding?

if you normally get up at say 5am then temp then but if a few nights you need to get up earlier then use this https://www.whenmybaby.com/basalbodytemperature.php

it'll tell you what you're temp should be

oh and you said it should be after getting up. I'm guessing you meant shouldn't because it needs to be taken before you do anything.

Oh that website will be great! :haha: You are full of helpful knowledge! Well Son was sleeping over night for about two weeks now he is getting up between 4-6am and trying to stay up for the "day" :dohh: I will just take it at 4am, husband gets up for work at 5am anyways so if I did take it later It will be at 5 when he gets up.
