I'd like to hear everyone's traditions of where they put their presents.

My families tradition has always been to lay out everyone's presents in the living area on the couches, organized so everyone has their own separate pile and they sit in front of their piles to open their presents.

Last year we had Christmas with my brother in England (which was very different than my usual Christmas). They would put a big sack of presents from Santa in their bedrooms with about 7-10 presents they would open them upstairs, then they would go downstairs and all the presents were underneath the tree (unorganized might I add). I really didn't like that routine, but maybe it was because I was pregnant and I had to be the one digging out all the presents! :haha:

Where do you put your Christmas presents? :flower:

under the tree in sort of piles but sorta all mixed together too :)

When my dad was still alive he would always be the present giver. He'd sit by the tree and give one present out at a time and we would all watch it being opened. :cloud9:

Now I have my own children and hes no longer with us it's me that gives the pressies out. I like it one at a time. Makes it last longer and I like seeing everyones face :D

Ours go under the tree and we hand out one at a time so we see what everyone got. It takes ages so we usually do it in 3 sittings but this year I have moved out and my sister also has so we open what we brought each other and what the girls got from us at home and then we go round to my mums so there wont be so much.

under the tree, with maddi's spread out over the living room depending on the amount. we normally take it in turns to give them out and watch everyone open them. as she gets older, mads will have a bed present she can open upstairs, but only one, then stocking down stairs with the rest :D

We do the couch thing as well :) Dan will have one couch and Dec will have the other and they will sit by their couch on Christmas morning and open their pressie :) Oh and I will have a pile each infront of the fireplace.

we always have a pile each though the odd time we had them all mixed up, i dont like it i prefer piles for each person x

The kids have their own pile's that I sit out on the living room floor in front of the t.v :)
they sit where they can find a space on christmas morning to open their presents lol

mine and OH's will be under the christmas tree :) xx

Presents from Santa always got left on the living room chairs when we were young, my sis and I had an armchair each so we did the same last year with Harvey's presents. One of the gifts he got from our friend last year was a big sack so I think we'll put his presents in there this year and he can dig them out. Anything from friends and family goes under the tree all mixed up together.

thats so lovley :hugs:

AFM i just put em on the sofa :dohh:

my familys tradition was always to have a stocking at the end of ur bed with a few small things, like an orange, chocolate coins, toothbrush and bottle of Matey bubblebath :haha: then we went out to the living room and as we had 2 sofa's one was mine and one was my brothers and we each had a big santa sack with our presents in, and any large ones wer kept somewer else and presented during the unwrapping! this is our first proper family xmas, so i think we will have everything on the living room floor!

santa leaves us all (adults included) a stocking upstairs, which is opened upstairs. everything else (from us) are all under (or as near to) the tree. in no order whatsoever, just a few big piles there. then i usually help the boys give out the gifts and they then go into piles - OH on 1 sofa, baby near OH, me on other sofa and he other 2 boys go to opposite sides of room so got space for gifts. once all are given out we let the kids open theirs/help them if neeeded and we do ours once they are happily playing.

under the tree all mixed up. ella might not be old enough yet, but as kids, we would hand the person to the appropriate person and they would open it and then another one would get handed out.
ella's santa sack will be delivered to her room.

Growing up we each had a sofa or a chair but now that im living with hubby we're going to put ours under the tree and i think once baby is born we will do the same thing, then we can all watch eachother open presents and it will last a little longer :)

under the tree all mixed up, i think it adds to the fuin searchin for presents with your name on xx

We had a pillow case on the end of our bed with stuff like chocolate coins, socks, smellys ect, and me and my sister use to sit on one of our beds and open those together at like 5am and then we would go downstairs and wait for everyone else to wake and our pressie's would be in a pile for us

all mixed under the tree...more fun that way cos usually when you think all your pressies are gone you find another hidden under someone elses and it makes it more exciting as its unexpected x

Under the tree, all mixed together. Half the fun is digging out your gifts lol
