I definately don't wanna pay Mothercare prices but there are a few nice ones ive seen for around £9/£10.

But then ive seen some in ASDA for £4 and £5. Are they any good? I'm trying to get the last bits i need as cheap as possible but they still have to be good quality IYKWIM.

ebay i got a cupcake pink one and a shawl i am going to get a knitted one for in the pram to x x

I got a fleece blanket from primark for £4. :) gonna grab a pack of 2 cellular blankets in Moses basket size from tesco or asda. LO will be in sleeping bags when he's over the weight limit so only really need a few blankets, will use the fleece one over his carseat, have a foot muff for pushchair, and then will have a few smaller ones just incase it's super cold! We're also being knitted a blanket by my mums OHs nan! Bless her!

But honesty tesco or asda ones will be fine, and it Moses basket sheets.. Buy pillow cases instead! Cheaper! Xx

I have collected oodles of blankets from my last two, people always tend to give them as gifts so wouldn't go too nuts on blankets, especially if you have relatives who knit/crochet. I find the best ones are the thin fleecy ones you get from Asda, Primark, Matalan etc for around £5. TK maxx do some gorgeous thick fleecy ones for around £10 and last time I was in they were on sale for around £6.99. I never really used the cotton ones always favoured fleece or knitted.

I still have DS's moses basket sheets. I got a lovely knitted one from Matalan for £10. They have really nice blankets but not sure i wanna pay that much!

I've bought them from Asda, Tesco, Babies R Us and got one from Italy when we were on honeymoon (I loved it). Also been given some as well.

My favourites are the 'popcorn' ones and they had some lovely ones in Asda. I think its easy enough to tell the quality just by feeling them. Matalan had some nice ones too but I have loads now so held off! And TK Maxx.

We've been given LOADS! I've counted we have 10 already and I'd bought an essential starter pack I haven't even opened! I got that by smart sales shopping... A 6 piece cot bed set from £40 down to £14.

If you look around you'll definitely get end if line things cheap and good quality - out set was lollipop lane so a good make and a fantastic price for 2 blankets and 4 sheets (its just the walking around looking in 3rd tri that's the issue!)

You can get some good bits on debenhams and next sites in clearance sections.

I have all mine on my Babies R Us registry. I only bought two so far. The rest I am hoping others will buy - if they don't, I will. Plus my mother and my aunt are making me some, plus I made about four myself so I'm pretty much set!

I had a few saved from my other two, as well as people like to give blankets. Im also a sewer, so ive made a lot of the blankets as well. I think we're pretty all set on blankets now.

My favorites are the ones I made. They just seem much higher quality and more comfy... Plus, their made with lots of love.

I kept some of the blankets I got for son during his baby shower and the 2 that I made. I've made 2 more. I bought some receiving blankets off of a classified ad group thing from facebook for $1 a piece (they're nice blankies too! :happydance:)

As long as the blankies look good, I see nothing wrong with getting them used :)

i got cellular ones in tesco and the fleece ones which are gorgeous in primark x

The ones I have seen for £5 in ASDA where pram/moses basket size - 70cm x90cm, and these seem to be the cheapest I can find at this size. I also wanted a couple cot size cellular ones (120cm x150cm), everywhere is pretty pricy so looked on ebay and bought a couple from there for £8.95 each. They came yesterday and are really soft and good quality.

Actually had a look through what I have left from DS and have quite a few. Not even sure I'm gonna buy any! I was a bit against reusing then but seems like a lot if you ladies are. Seems a waste a a few still look new xx

I have found that the cheaper ones are ok if you are washing and then tumble drying them but if you are drying them on a clothes horse they do go a bit crispy....IYKWIM.

Out of the cheaper brands the best ones I have brought are from Matalan. I've just brought some fitted moses basket sheets and the ASDA ones were lovely and soft and thick but the Tesco ones I bought were thin and crispy :S

I bought the cheap ones from asda for ds...NEVER again! Once I had washed them they went horrible, really out of shape and hard. I only managed to wash them a couple of times before I had to chuck them, they were so horrible and scratchy dh wouldnt even use them to polish his car!
Have got a fleece/furry one from Avon and a couple from Sainsburys. As a pp said people tend to buy you blankets as gifts so not going ott!
