Where to deliver...

I've been having my appointments through this once office, where it is just typical to go because it is close. Everything is fine there doctors and nurses are nice. But I also will be moving an hour away soon and there is another hospital that is just as good for delivery. I want to tour both of them and check them out to see if Hospital B is a better choice especially being closer afterwards, or if I should just make the extra trip to Hospital A.

Anyhow, I guess my question is, can I do that? Switch hospitals? My insurance is through the state and will cover it I just don't really know how it works...

Oh! And when did everyone tour their hospitals?

You can switch OB's and hospitals at any point in your pregnancy. I'd definitely tour both, especially because you'll want to be familiar with the closer one just in case your labor progresses more quickly than expected and you end up there anyway
