My baby who is a lil over a month old has a very sensative tummy, lots of gases and cries A LOT from them, thinking of trying to find better bottles to reduce air she gets in. I use playtex ventaire right now.

I swear by Dr Brown bottles, they were a life saver with my first and I'd tried tommee tippee and avent before buying the dr brown, he suffered terrible with colic and reflux but I noticed a huge difference with these bottles. I've used them from the get go with my 2nd and he hasn't suffered with colic/wind at all! I would never use another brand again, it's Dr Brown all the way for me xx

I used dr. browns also and they seem to work pretty good :)

Ohhh I should try Dr. Brown,I kept hearing from women they are so hard to clean and i never bought them. But i won't mind cleaning them if it will make my baby stop crying. i seem to think she suffers from colic as well, has a lot of gases and will scream so bad, i just want to try anything that will help.

To b honest I don't find the cleaning part a problem and my 13 month old still uses them too so imagine how many bottles I have to wash. It takes all of 5 mins to wash them in soapy water and pop them in the steriliser. I wouldn't let that put u off. They were a god send for me xx

Dr Brown's are brilliant, they really aren't that hard to clean x

I love Nuk. I was using Avent, which were terrible, and then gave Nuk a try. Not nearly as much gas, and the evenings of crying with gas pains came to an end.

The nipples on the Nuk fit very naturally into the mouth and prevent LO from sucking in more air.

Tomme tippee also do a range of anti colic bottles now that have got the vent in like the dr browns.
Also have you tried easy digest formula? Most ranges have a slightly thicker formula that some babies seem to find easier to digest and cause less wind. It will be called something like comfort formula or anti reflux or something

The first year's breastflow bottles have been pretty nice. LO seems to prefer them as well. I believe they're similar to the Dr. Browns.

I agree, Avent were terrible aswell. My lo didn't like nuk either but mam were really good.

I just bought dr. browns, i was hoping it would reduce gas, but she seems to be having just as much as before. I'll give it a few days and see if it improves any. Praying to God something will work, I'm about to lose my mind watching her in pain from gases. : ( so difficult. ahhhhh : (

If I were you, if the gas is that bad, and you've experimented with different bottles, I'd probably resort to those gas drops prior to giving her a bottle. They can help a ton.

HATED Tommee Tippees. LOVE Dr. Browns.

We had this exact problem and switched to dr browns and on the advice of health visitor, comfort milk. He was a lot better overnight and even better again after a few days.
