Which Bottles/Teats do you feed your LO with? :baby:

I started with tommee tippee closer to nature, after moving from breastfeeding a week ago....Didnt think they were that great :nope:

As LO suffers with wind, I bought the 'Dr Browns bottles' Still not 100% happy with those though :dohh:

Dont want to keep changing, so would love to hear your views :flower:

we use tt, tried dr brown but they leak and she isnt that keen on them. We had problems with her latching on my boob and found we have problems with most bottles but she is used to tommee tippee now so we are just sticking with them x

We tried tommy tippie but they just leaked out his mouth I use the avent anti colic bottles there amazing wouldn't have anything else :)

Dr. Browns & we never had issues with them. We still use them

It seems it can be trial & error then  I may try one more type of bottle....But dont want to keep confusing her

My DS2 always had 'Dr Browns' & never had any problems either :baby:

Been to the shops today & decided to try the 'Born Free' bottles...

FX LO likes them :baby:

I maybe wrong but I always thought Born Free was the same as Dr Browns.

I suppose it depends on why lo doesn't like the bottles.

We had ttctn but as Millie was bf she struggled with the teats and they seemed really fast,my ds2 loved them though, although he would have drank milk from a dustbin :haha:
Our issue was wind and teats, it would flow from one side of her mouth and was getting a really sore chin. We tried Dr Browns (nipple was very long) Nuk (very fast flow) Avent, she just wouldn't accept them at all, Breastflow, these where quite good but leaked and the special teat didn't fill all the time, we are now on Mam Ultivent, and thankfully she loves them, I highly rate them, they do what they say and work, added bonus is they are very pretty, I also love the self sterilising feature as if I'm visiting people I can just take one bottle with me.

The teat is quite fast though but we are on a comfort milk, and because she struggled with all newborn flows being too fast it may just be Millie, maybe somone else can advise?

Dr Browns are great but I also didn't rate them that highly when both of my two were as young as your LO.
TT I tried this time, rubbish, didn't like at all - teat too squishy.
Avent anti colic are very good, nice firm teat and they dont leak like the old ones (they have a anti-colic ring you put in) and tesco have 3 large bottles on offer at the moment under £7.
BUT.... best I found when I switched to formula after 4/5 weeks of breastfeeding - NUK with the shaped silicone teats.
They are soft, very soft, but the way the teat is designed = an easy transition from the boob and the hole is on the edge rather than the end so LO can control the flow rather than the flood straight down the back of the throat.

You can get them in Boots x

Thanks..:flower:.Your right they are similair to DrBrowns, in fact when I got home I looked at them closer & have decided to return them

The DrBrown bottles leak & she still isnt getting on with them, so may see if I can return those, as they are faulty if they leak!

I looked at the Mam ones whilst in Boots, the teat is the same as her dummy & as she isnt too keen on her dummy, I didnt get them! :dohh:

The reason she doesnt get on with her bottles seems to be the milk flows too fast, although, I think its a combination of her sucking to hard & fast :baby:....Which leads me on to the next post....

Thanks :flower:

I also looked at these ones in the store, but was getting overwhealmed with choice by then!

I like the idea of the teat...Think I will try these ones next

Kelly, we have exactly same problem. I thnk because she was bf, I found slowest teats where the breastflow ones and Dr browns which I think are the slowest on market. We found nuk were v fast but thats because all we could find was 0-6 mths med hole apparently you can get a small hole but I couldnt find it. Have a look at breastflow on youtube maybe good whilst you transition and then try a different bottle. Just a heads up tk max have bflow bottles four for 5 pound, soz on phne and cant find pound sign lol. Oh and for Nuk users they sometimes have in pound shops.

Thats interesting to hear you had the same problem...Mayby I should try the 'mam' ones first then, if your LO is Ok with those :baby::thumbup:

Going shopping tommorow....So will buy them then :winkwink:

Kelly where on a thick feed for reflux though, not sure how fast they are on normal milk, not sure what milk you are on and don't want you to waste pennies, its an expensive habbit ff :winkwink:

She is having 'aptamil - 1st milk'

Think I will try them, as she really isnt getting on with the ones I have now :nope:

This is harder than I thought!

With DS2, he wasnt fussed which bottle he had, as long as milk came out! :haha:

:haha: snap ds2 would have drank his milk from a dustbin.
I find Millie likes the teats because she latches on like she did on the boob, whereas other bottles the teat doesnt sit right in her mouth.

Have you had her checked for a high palette or tongue tie? The gp couldnt rule out tongue tie with Millie as her tongue was too small to tell, but this can affect them with being able to take to teats and the flow.

Good luck, its a minefield lol, on the plus side, they are nice pink and lilac bottles.

My LO started on the medium flow teats on the MAM bottles and he is 3 months so i would start with the slow flow

I always say Millie is a Diva, out of all the bottles we have tried, she likes the pink ones :haha:
