Okay so..

I finally got 2 names out of my partner that he thinks are ''alright'' (thats the best answer I will get from him)... but I don't know which is nicer!

Zachary or Jacob

Zachary
Pros: Can be shortened, sounds cute, not very common where I am from
Cons: Mouthful if saying Zachary, couldn't picture other half saying Zachary

Jacob
Pros: Short, sweet and can be shortened still, nice all round
Cons: Its my best friends little boys name, very common where I am from

I prefer Jacob although I do like them both. If it was me personally it would put me off that my best friends little boy was named the same though :flower:

Yeah if he wasnt then it would be Jacob without thought I think...

I prefer Zachary, but only because a family member has a dog called Jacob so I just associate that name with animals.

I do like them both though

Prefer Jacob but wouldn't use if best friends son was called that :-(

I like Jacob best but wouldn't use it if my best friends LO was already named it :(. Zachary is nice though :)

I like Jacob, but I wouldn't use it if it was my best friends kids name. I just couldn't picture myself hanging out as a family and having to constantly explain which Jacob I was talking to etc. if that makes sense.

I like them both, but personally I prefer Zachary ... It's not a name you come across everyday.

I had to pause before I voted. Love them both. Went for Zachary.

I think we have decided Zachary is the best. I don't really see that best mate anymore but would still be a bit weird and jake is quite common. It's a shame because it doesn't jump out at me, no boys names do, I hate them all! But Zachary is the best out of them all IMO.

Zach! I wanted this if our LO was. About but shes not :p
