Anna is getting pre-aptimil just now it is still 50/50 with EBM but I have stop expressing so soon it will just be formula.

I had already decided to FF before she was born - but obv had to change my mind to give her the best being so tiny! and had stil planned to FF once she was ready for it. Stress and other things took over sooner than I would have liked but she has had a good start with EBM

I hadn't even started looking into formula before she was born, my son always had SMA

But seeing she is on pre-aptimil I am guessing it would be better she was swapped to Aptimil once she is bigger?

Can you even buy pre-aptimil or is it just something hospitals can sort out?

Anna- what a gorgeous name - same as my daughter!!

I have never heard of pre-Aptamil and never saw it in the shops so assume its hospital only.

Anna is on Aptamil First - recommended by my midwife and health visitor - and we have a very healthy happy baby!

15 weeks early, wow, what a little fighter!

I have never seen Pre-Aptamil in the shops, so I don't know that it's available. perhaps you need to have it on prescription or something. It would be worth finding out. When she's done with Pre-Aptamil, Aptamil is supposed to be the nearest thing to breastmilk, which is why I chose it  I'm now going onto Cow & Gate though because my LO has colic. It all depends what suits the baby to be honest; you may want to give her one type, and she may not take well to it. Just do what I do and buy one tub at a time and see how you go.

I've never seen pre aptamil on sale either and it says on the website it's for hospital use only so I guess when your LO is ready to come out of hospital she will either be able to go onto Aptamil First or will have Nutriprem or some other premature baby formula on prescription for a while. I use Aptamil First too and have never had any probs with it - I think it's great X

I've never heard of Pre Aptamil either, and I even checked out the Aptamil website and didnt see it on there, so it must be a hospital thing :flower:
As with the other ladies, Evie has Aptamil First and we've never had a problem. We have a happy, healthy, thriving little lady
