As the title says really. We have the Oyster Plush travel system at the moment, which is getting quite cumbersome with a heavy toddler in it. Im looking for a new more lightweight stroller type pushchair, but ideally would rather not have a mcclaren type umbrella stroller.

A parent facing one would be perfect, as he parent faces at the moment and I much prefer it, but I can only see one of these on the market which is by petite star, and I dont really like it. If funds allowed Id go for the bugaboo bee (which I wish I'd bought initially now, but its just so expensive.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

We have the Babystyle Oyster which the in laws bought for us when we first had Adrian. I didn't realise quite how heavy and clumsy it is until i got my Zeta Vooom!

We bought it to take to the Olympics - we didn't know what buggy security would be like and didn't want to risk loosing the Oyster - needn't have worried in the end.
But anyway, it's cheap, it's light and i can't fault it! It is like a McLaren though. Barely use my expensive travel system now and the Vooom takes up a fraction of the space in my car, in the porch and is easier to manoeuvre :)
Thinking about getting the double version now

This may sound a bit weird but i started with the oyster. Went to a cosatto yo but it broke so i got a zeta vooom its an awesome lightweight pushchair. Only thing i dont like is the way it reclines its just not the easiest but we literally never use the recline so not a prob

it reminds me of a reclining sun chair!
He was happy sleeping in it the few times he's been in it that long but mainly use it for whizzing round the shops now

Not parent facing as couldn't find a lightweight one that I liked that was. We got the Jane Nomad Pro (6.5kg) and it is great, and reclines right back! my LO looks so snug in it, and as we have already had to move her from her pram to the buggy and I think she feels secure and cocooned in it as it has sides and a big hood. Even with my toddler on a buggy board it is still easy to push.

Edited to add- look for a local selling page on FB as I got my buggy and buggy board for an absolute bargain on a local page to me.

Quinny Zapp Xtra.

It's lightweight, parent faces, chassis is tiny when folded. It's really comfy for DS2, as it's the only pushchair he's fallen asleep in.

We've had it over a year now. Took it camping, up woods, on the beach, over the moors. Nothing's broke so far. Would definately recommend it.

Ditto, I like the oyster still for walking to town etc but the vooom is brilliant for throwing in and out of the car and dd is really comfy in it. My friend however has a baby jogger city mini which is lovely and if funds would have allowed would have one.
