yes the mattress comes with it hon and a bottom sheet and little blanket, it does look small to me but maybe its cos i keep looking at my 13 month old?! he was 8lb 7oz born so not massive but i cant imagine it lasting long, he liked to sleep with his arms spread out so was in his cot by 7 weeks, im rambling so just ignore me!!! sure it will be fine! x

We also got this one for our first and found it absolutely useless - it sagged so much that we had to make a base from MDF to make sure LO's head wasn't below the rest of his body. We have bought a new one for #2 - the winnie the pooh one from Mothercare (its got 20% off at the mo) and it seems so much more sturdier. From what I've read - you get what you pay for and I wish I'd paid more in the first place...

I have the white waffle one from John Lewis. It was £29, but I got a discount as I work for Waitrose.
It is beautiful though. Also, worth mentioning that the John Lewis sheets and blankets are soooooooo much nicer than most other places. They do a value range and they really aren't much more expensive, yet the quality is fantastic
I have just pre-washed and ironed mine and theycame up beautifully - they are all 100% cotton (and all made in the UK too).
