:hugs: First off, congrats to everyone who got bfp's today!! SO exciting!!! I hope you all have h & h 9 months!!

I'm sure someone has already asked, but which type of test is the best to use? Currently at home, I have one generic store brand test, and 2 First Response tests left so a total of three (should get me through the weekend if AF doesn't show). I see a lot of people test with Clearblue's tests? How reliable are they? I tested negative both with First Response and the generic test (tho I think I tested like, 2 days early anyway with FR)...any suggestions or advice? Thanks always in advance!! and congrats again!!! :)

Welcome to B&B :hi:

I swear by Clearblue. They are expensive but they have confirmed both of my pregnancies when other tests have come out negative. Good luck hun :hugs:

Thanks much! :) Maybe I will see if my hubby will want to go test shopping with me tomorrow lol..just in case! Is that an early result test as well? Or just generally more accurate?

I think Clearblue has a digital that's less sensitive but shows 'Pregnant' or 'Not Pregnant', as well as one that's more sensitive but you have to look at lines...anyone? Am I right or out in left field?

grrr noticed some spotting just now (boooo....!!!) if it's going to be anything like last month, in two days AF will be here....oh well, will keep you all posted either way.....

Hi! Welcome to B&B!

If you go to the TTC Products sub forum at the top of the TTC forum there is a thread on HPTs with reviews from members.

Thanks poppy!

Well, for now the spotting has stopped, still feeling slight crampy but I don't want to get my hopes up...I keep telling myself there is always next month is this month doesn't happen, and if I don't get a bfp this time, I am due to ovulate around Christmas, and good thing b/c both myself and hubby are off for Christmas vacation...three guesses what we will be doing!! lol

Will keep you posted and see what happens!

Oh, and I forgot to add that I got another bfn this morning :P which is another reason I am not getting my hopes up!

I hope you get your BFP in a few days hun :hugs:

I personally will never use the CB digital tests again. At this stage it has given me a false positive and i've since read that it has done the same to many other women, coming up with 'pregnant' when you're not pregnant. Very heartbreaking.

I've heard great things about the regular POAS CB tests that give you either a + or a -.

Thanks fjl! :hugs: And thanks for all the info on the tests from all you ladies! Do you think the next time I take one I should just purchase one of each kind? (For example, but one E.P.T - a common one here in the US - , one FR and one CB? This is so nerve wracking!

I think its a good idea to have at least 2 different brand tests, make sure they look for similar amounts of hcg though.

Try and choose the tests that're most popular and reliable.

Good luck, I hope you get a :bfp:

Awesome, I will do that next time then :) unfortunately AF had got me this time in case you didn't know (boooo...) :dohh: but I'm not giving up hope! Hopefully 2008 will bring in a lovely surprise, and not just for me but for all the rest of us too! Come on BFP's!!!!

I'm sorry she got you hun :hugs:

All the best for the new year for an 08 BFP :dust:
