I don't leave my Lo to cry, but when he goes down at night i do leave him to get off to sleep if he is whinging (if you know what i mean). after about 15-20 mins of moaning he settles himself off to sleep. Do other people do this? and if so for how long?

If he ever starts properly crying i go to him straight away

Hazel doesn't go to sleep on her own yet - but she still moans ;)

Uhuhuhhhuhhhhuhhuhuh aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh Uhhhhhhhuhuhuhuhuh

Omar is the same, he keeps moaning & moving his head frm side to side, sometimes it takes him 30-45 mins until he finally settles & sleeps. I just stay in the room & watch him frm far until he settles himself xx

Hehehe my LO does this sometimes too. I call it a whine rather than a whinge really! He only really makes the noise if he is tired, so it kinda reassures me if he is making it that he is definitely ready for bed!!

Yep, my LO does this, she used to do it every night for about 15-20 mins but now she only does it if she is really over tired when we put her down. Often if I look at her I will seethat she does this with her eyes closed so I know she is really tired!

cattis - charlie was doing exactly this tonight - eyes firmly shut but moaning and almost "pretend" crying. Luckily I have a video monitor so I don't need ot stay in the room.

Thanks everyone - Pleased to hear its not just my little one!
