I had emergency gall bladder removal surgery two days ago and I am terrified to eat, sneeze, breath. I keep reading horror stories!

So far, so good for me. I have eaten mostly soups, a small amount of unseasoned grilled salmon, crackers, lean chicken breast, jello... I am scared of expanding my diet.

Anyone have theirs out and NOT have a problem after?

Hi yes i had mine out also by emergency, it makes me so angry because i was having symptoms for 12months after having my baby, and they miss diagnosed me, attacks were aweful, i ate normal afterwards, iv had 2 attacks since only from eating pastry, had a scan since and due to see my surgeon next month, fingers crossed there were no stones left behind, i did make a thread my self some time ago about this, i will try find it and bump it up for you with an update.

Me too, I was told I had an ulcer and it will go away on it's own. Next attack I had landed me im the ER with a badly infected GB. So far so good, keeping my fingers crossed. Itching like crazy!!

I had mine out a month ago. So far pretty good, had some pain about a week after but nothing since and I'm taking a regular diet:thumbup: Get some diarrhoea though on occasion but nothing awful:blush:

Good luck in your recovery:hugs:

Had mine out Dec '11 and absolutely fine. No problems eating anything now.

I had mine out a few years ago and can eat everything that I did before, although I think I now have a hernia caused by op! X

I had mine out Oct '11 but they think I have retained stones in my Bilary Tract as I am still having attacks. However, I can eat and drink normally since the removal. No problems in that department at all.
