Who uses the purple Clearblue ovulation tests?!

I bought the box of 10, went to use one today and think I've wasted 1 of the sticks! It doesn't have step by step instructions with exactly how to use it.. What's the purple button for? I dipped it into my pee without touching it and the little digital stick on the screen flashed for a few minutes with an arrow pointing to a book? I did it wrong obviously, what's the correct way?! Thanks

thats the eject button...
are they the dual hormone ones?
collect your wee, then put a stick in, it should show a like pen thing, hold it in wee for 15 seconds then lay it flat, the pen thing will start flashing for 8 minutes then you will get your result
if its the first use of it, all kind of symbols come up... just wait till it looks like a pointed pen thing
