why can't i reply to a thread?

On my blackberry I can start a new thread but if I try to reply to any thread I get a message saying I must enter title/subject

It doesn't matter if its the quick reply or main reply screen with a subject line entered, I've tried changing the text editor settings in the control panel and nothing works.. I know others are able so where am I going wrong?

I don't just wanna be a lurker anymore can anyone help me pretty please

It might depend what thread it is youre trying to reply to?
