My friend just had her beautiful baby at 32 weeks after her waters broke during the night. They tried to hold off labour with medications but no such luck. But baby and mummy doing really well so all good.

I'm just wondering though: why would water break so early? Does it just sometimes happen for no reason? She's like me and had IVF, took her a long time to conceive.

I think it just happens for no good reason sometimes. X

Mine went at 35 last time, it can be from things like infections or if the mother always had a problem maybe like incompetent cervix, but usually there is no reason
